Setup my ghetto pollen catcher

20200122 184951
20200122 184230

think these nanners will pop tonight or tomorrow 🤞🤞.  Not concerned about cross contamination at this point as #6 is my 'pick of the dicks' but dont want the FEMs catching any (other side of the bin with air moving away from them)

Yes.  However I prefer to let them pop.  This way I know the pollen is fully matured and I get all they can offer.

The problem with picking them off is it could be premature and if you dont dry quick enough the moisture in the pod casing (shell) can render the pollen usless.

If you do dry them quickly (air flow, decent temps) that is a very viable option.

#5 got pulled, 100% hermi (think temp fluctuations).  #4 as well

20200123 224906

just wasn't what I was looking for, #7

20200123 224925

although a smaller plant (runt) has bigger balls and they showed sex about the same time.  #6

20200123 225046

is still my 'dick pic' but no soiled sheets yet 😂🤣

#1

20200123 224958
20200123 224952

is a favorite among the females as it has very little side branching (I just want a single cola, medieval feast style drumstick, dont waste energy on popcorns).  Did some chopping just to see how she's grows

20200123 225248

but most of this plant will be pollinated by #6.

#2

20200123 225014
20200123 225008

is very similar to #1 but does have more side branching (not really what I want, but will see what happens).  It has be able to hold up a bit better recently than #1 so I'm torn at the moment choosing between them (especially with my record lol)

20200123 231818

I will definitely pollinate both with #6

#3 and #8 are kinda meh

20200123 232211

.  #3 is short and stout, #8 is tall and lanky for a runt.  Both are almost equal in side branches, #3 a little more.  Think I will cross #3 with #6 and maybe #8 with #7 BUT on the fence about #7, really just a runt (smaller, slower) #6.

Cobra #6 busted a nut (or 3) last night, and looks like more to cum today😂

20200126 100338
20200126 100313

Not too worried if some stray pollen makes it onto the other plants as I know its #6 (#7 is still a few days) but will watch for orange hairs.

After the first collection switched to a 3 tier system

20200126 134138
20200126 134126

just to make sure the solar panels (fan leaves) get some light.

Probably toss #7

20200126 134450

it is 2 days behind #6 but dout it can catch up and is displaying the same qualities (short side branches, long node stretches, etc but not as much vigorously).

Cobra #3 (female) [pic wont upload] is the only real 'different' pheno out of the bunch.  Still not much side branching (but more than the rest) with a short bushy body and indica looking leaves🧐.

Right now #2 (female) and #6 (male) will be my seed producers for next gen but not ruling out #1 or #3 yet.  #8 is just a smaller #1 or #2

DOOM! A very nice choice right there. Played so fucking much of that on PC when I was a young, fresh-eyed lad... BFG 9000 FTW.

Everything had great growth in the past 2 day.  I had to raise the 1st tier, it was acting like a SCOG net when I got home today.  The male is just dumping 💩 pollen out.  Cobra #3 is definitely a different pheno (short, tight node spacing, more side branching) and the runt #7 has overtaken it size wise.

20200203 170928

I'm still very back and forth between #1 and #2 as my main seed producer, so decided I'd pollinate them both from the (bottom of) top cola down.

Did a little dusting yesterday and see some orange hairs today but will probably hit them again in a couple days when the females really start to flower.

Another quick update, pretty much the same old same old

20200211 165807

Testing the new LED in the tent tonight to see what temps are like before moving them in (appartment temps rest at 84F so no wonder the LEC was hitting 95F).

If heat is still an issue I might pick up a CO2 'exhaler' and run an intake from outside until I can afford a small AC.

Ran the quantum LEDs from last night till today when I got home from work to get a quick base line of tent temps.  Hit highs of 88-89F a massive improvement over LEC that probably would have been mid 90s, but in the market for a cheap AC soon...

ANYWAY moved them into the 2x4x5.  Seemed like I had alot more room in the 2x4 before LOL

20200212 173734

Unintentionally 'super cropped' the Green Crack when moving them in (super dropped)

20200212 173744

Having a bit of (humidity?) issues with Lambs Breath

20200212 173900

Think it's from the previous bin and and the bushy bunched in growth without proper circulation (hopefully new home will help her but very vigorous overall so not worried).

And Cobra #1

20200212 173816

 #2

20200212 173820

 #8 (runt)

20200212 173832

 And

20200212 173828

All the Cobras had a massive stretch  during start of flowering, lets hope they fill in that space with nugs and seed 🤞🤞 now under the ISH!

So...spent like an hour reprogramming the digi timer a few days ago.  Only problem is I left the light plugged into the 'always on' side of the power bar 😐  at least they are autos but that plus spectrum change and a little heavy handed with the last watering I expect to see some stress 😤 (hopefully no bananas).

20200214 164351

Decided to train #3 as it is the short and stout pheno that wasn't getting much light beyond the top (and interested as to how the Cobras will react)

20200214 164414

The Green Crack is almost 100% after it's near death plummet, definitely thought I was going to lose the top of the main stem but she's good now and starting to produce trics (but probably a little stunted too).

Still back and forth between #1 and #2 as my pick.  #2 is taller but #1 has less side branching (a trait I'm looking for) and the nice fat white hairs.

#2

20200214 171300

#1

20200214 171308

And the runt is as tall as #1 but alot more side branching and not as hairs.

20200214 171334

Still very early so the runt might be a nice surprise!

Ps tent temps at 77F!!!! 😀 It was a very cold day but the LEC would only hit that during night cycle on a cold day!  So far VERY pleased with the ISH LED by invisible sun 👍👍

@macky ya man already have, super early during very start of flower (I call it preflower) in hopes to have finished seeds and flower at the same time.  Thought I replied it earlier tonight but dont see it (I was out and probably deleted the draft lol I might have been high 😮🤣).

Anyway posted some pics now that I'm home, check them out if you can.  Figure seeds should be ready more or less when the flower is... maybe?...lol will error on the side of seed readiness tho.
