Title: Colacody Big Cheese Autos

Weedseedsexpress from Percys! Much love for the runner up prize of the WTF was that comp! Going to run them in the basement with bare minimum supplies and see if we can get some decent results

Medium:

The absolute stinkiest almost got a divorce bringing the soil home....top soil LOL. Had runoff of the manure bags beside it all over the bag and sitting in 30 degrees sun....wife was less than happy. Mixed perlite with the soil

Size of Grow Area and number of plants:

2 feet by 4 feet just sitting on top of a cupboard.....3 plants in rubbermaid drawers with holes drilled in the bottom. Not in a tent or anything....just chilli g under the light lol dollar store poster board on the walls taped up.

Lighting:

Mars sp250 LED. A timer also for the light from Amazon.

Extraction:

Just a fan....getting an oscillating fan also but....out in the open under the light with a breeze....that's it.

Pot Sizes:

Rubbermaid storage drawers with holes drilled in bottom....didnt measure but over 6 inches high

Nutrients:

General hydroponics floranova grow and bloom. Epsom salts at flower time

Other Equipment:

Ph meter...temp and humidity monitor. Binder clips. Plant ties.

Plan for the grow:

I'm going to top and train them early around the edges of the bins with binder clips and some ties. This will solve my height issue I have right now until its better set up in the future but life just isn't giving me the time. I want to try this out with nothing except the basics to show that you can get a harvest with nothing but the basics.

Roots dont like light mate, you should cover the edges of those pots so light cant get in, when the roots stretch there they wont be happy

under watering mate! Look how dry the medium is man, she needs more water, keep the medium damp in the early days, they like humid conditions too

@colacody that’s it cody jump back straight on it bro, we can’t get it right first time every time can we? We are men and human lol. I have said that many times throughout my life with my poor wife she should get a medal. Weirdly we have started a grow at the exact same time again😂what the fuck is going on with us, brothers from another mother. Right cody let’s smash these autos😉

Just  a quick update and a pic to show the autos are doing well. I also belive that the soil is too much for them that was in there. It did smell like sheep shit when I brought it home so maybe that could be it also. Will always start seeds in a smaller container now and transplant instead of just firing the seeds into a big container.

So here we are just growing along beautifully. I've added 1 cup of worm castings to the soil as well as marphyl phytoplankton....thanks again @mossbeardmitch for that! I have wet the soil very well to let the microbes start growing. I believe the soil was too strong for them with whatever was in it....or I watered them so badly with wrong ph that they were just a lost cause. 4 weeks....1 inch tall lmao....and....you die lol. These ones are smashing it so far!

Well a wee update....just over 2 weeks in with these little guys....they were showing signs this morning of needing a bigger house so...I transplanted them AFTER watering feeding them this morning....something I read to try....see if anything is different but I doubt it....they'll grow lol. I have 11 weeks max in total (according to spec) so I figured I'd get them in their new home ASAP and I'll be topping at the 3rd node as soon as they adjust and well.... have a 3rd node lol

I'll be attempting to spread them out as best I can with LST after I top them....first indoor grow and it's in rubbermaid drawers so....lots of firsts here for me. Anyways my specs I have so far are about 50% humidity and 22 deg C usually... steady environment and.....that's the best I can do anyways so they have no choice yet lol

20200721 122744

Before ^^

20200721 174718

After^^

I fed them with a lighter solution of floranova grow this morning....about 1.5ml per L and then a ph adjusted (6.7) splash of water with superthrive to help with transplant shock.

Any suggestions and comments always welcome....my first indoor and first autoflower so any and all advice welcome!

Ok well....the transplant went well so I did the topping this morning to 2 of them and will leave one normal.....little test! They are approximately 16days old so. I bent the ladies over and now we begin the LST and make something special out of these little girls. So exciting! Always feels weird cutting their little heads off lol

Well a day after topping the 2 and LST them over.....yesterday when I got home they were already pointed upwards. So this morning I re placed the hold downs into moist soil and set them for another day under the mars sp250. As they are now almost out of the seedling stage I'll be dropping the light in a few days to have it at 18 inches above the canopy. There are new shoots forming from the topped area already and this is what we have downstairs at the moment!

I'm excited to see the outcome of my first indoor cheese grow!

Any advice/tips/comments as always are welcome!🙂

@twisted1 not yet. The tent will be set up under my stairs as a mom tent once my basement floor is finished close to Christmas. This is my autoflower experiment to produce as much bud.....as cheaply as possibly lol....I just want to show that even WITHOUT things like a tent....you can grow weed! But the peices are coming together for it.....need the extraction and ts1000 for that and we are good to grow!
