To help break up harshness, lower heat and to add moisture is what a bong does. It can do it even better if you put some glass diffusion beads in with your water. In fact, you will need much less water. I try and use enough beads to cover the exit ports of my downstem and then water until it is about an inch or so above the beads. Because my bong is a thick, large glass one I can fit regular sized marbles through the hole where my downstem goes. My bong has an ice pincher so I can empty/change/clean it up without losing them all over the place when I drain the water.
Does anyone else have some tips for better bong use?
