Hi all can anyone identify this nest for me plse? It’s in my kids playhouse attached to the roof, I can’t see any activity around it just wondering do I call some one or remove it myself or leave it? Any help much appreciated 🙏✌️

Looks like a small bees nest man, dont think there is anything in it though, you would have seen the bees
Only just seen the title says best 🤦♂️ I thought it might be like a solitary wasp/bee with it being so small, it’s about the size of a golf ball. Just thought it might be out for the day 😂😂 I’ve got fucking pests everywhere in the garden this year my fruit trees are fucking ruined 😞
It's a paper hornets nest. If left along it will get bigger than your head. Didn't you ever see Bugs Bunny? Bugs would use a Hornets nest on Elmer Fudd's. They would turn into a big arrow and sting someone's butt. I would remove ASAP.
I agree with Woodi, looks like a paper hornets nest just starting. Best to get that out and treat the spot it was attached with a bit of insecticide to discourage them from returning. If it’s active return at night with a red light to take action. Wasps, bees, and hornets aren’t active at night and they don’t see red light very well.

@monkeydo, my Dad and I took one down while still active. Dad wanted to try and preserve it. The nest was big, text book prefect. I held the large trash can above my head while on top of a ladder. Dad climbed and cut the branch and lowered into the can, got the lid on. It was night. Took 3-4 weeks before everything in there finally died. The nest was trashed, and smelled of rotting lava. I appreciate the big beautiful ones in the museum. Just another hot summer night. Maybe smoke them with some bud next time. peace
@woodi2 we harvested an abandoned one some years ago in Boy Scouts. Another guy spotted it and I was called in to figure how to get it out of that 30 foot tree. Long story short, we got a line over that limb and were able to break it off. The nest fell and everyone thought it was lost but the thing gently bounced with almost no damage. It was about 20 inches high and 14 around so big but not a massive one. Have no idea what that guy ever did with it.

Found out it’s a wasp nest starting out, but still not seen anything yet. I’m wanting to keep it for a bit to watch it progress, my wife has told me where I can put the idea and says I can put the wasp nest there too 😂 thanks for your help people 💛✌️
