Hi all. Wondering what products people use to clean tents after a grow which has had a spider mite infestation? I need to kill these pricks once and for all!

Also any tips or hacks people use to keep them away?

@yoda If there are no plants in it mate, use a light bleach solution. Make sure you get in all the cracks. It would be worth doing that more than once too. Clean ducting, equipment and the room the tent is in. Then when everything is done, give it a final coat of neem oil pesticide and that should make sure they are all gone.

@macky thanks mate. Sounds like I'm going to have a busy weekend by the sounds of it.

I'm in a carpeted room so maybe make up some Neem oil soap spray for the carpet, let dry and vacccum? Hopefully won't stain the carpet

Tent is all cleaned with diluted light bleach wash then sprayed with Neem oil soap wash. Mother plant sprayed with diluted Neem oil and cuttings all sprayed as well.

I did do something without any thinking and just jumped straight in as usual.🤦🏼‍♂️ I repotted the little mother second gen monster cropped plant and scroged her. I'm going to veg her for 2 or so weeks then flip to flower. Really just going to wing it, what's the worst that can happen. She's a wicked bulky strain that I cant wait to see what she does!

Well  spidermites were not eliminated with the bleach wash and the use of the Neem oil soap wash 😤 however I went to the hydro shop two days ago and picked up some  stuff called PureCropl and it seems to be doing the job. It's a little $$$ but fuck it, if it helps the plants I'm all for it. The main selling point for me was that you can harvest 5 days after use.

This is a copy and paste.

PureCrop1 is a natural plant based stimulant made of food grade oils with a zero OSHA rating. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is not required and PureCrop1 is safe to use at home around children and pets. Predominately made from Corn and Soybean oil, along with Soap, Gum and Citric Acid, Pure Crop 1 has advanced microbial technology which makes it an amazing (and "vegan") spider mite and mould control! Naturally safe for the planet, humans, animals and beneficial insects.

Available in 100ml, 250ml, 500ml, and 1L sizes.

Benefits of PureCrop1

  • Controls Mold & Mildew
  • Increases Plant Health due to advanced technology.
  • Reduces Plant Stress
  • 7 Plant Based Ingredients
  • Naturally Safe for Kids & Pets

Here's a few pics of the GSC×JH cuttings and the monster cropped lady in the first tent with one other plant.

@james they reproduce fast too. If there's one, there's going to be more.

I only started with a few then wammo, I had webbing and the red little bastards were running everywhere. 100's of them. This stuff I'm using now is keeping them at bay. I also bought a spray bottle with a wand to reach everywhere.
