How detrimental are these to my girl?
@vintage-jack looks like what we call "Hexam Greys" here, they are harmless to almost everything except the bitey mossies.
Those aren’t any threat to your cannabis. We have them by the hundreds sometimes and as far as I know, they are predators to the regular sized mosquitoes. They don’t seem to be very effective as we still have tons of mosquitoes all the time.

about how big is this bug? and in what state are you? these things might help to determine what it is. in NY we have a bud called a Hangingfly yjat loos similar.
Hangingflies look like the large, leggy Craneflies commonly seen clinging to window screens in the summer
They don’t eat mosquitoes as I thought because of the name that was given to them the have no benefit to to cannabis plant . All they are is food for things like spiders & Birds , Frogs and so on.
Looks like a cranefly to me the actual flying bug itself isn’t harmful but the larva, what here in my part of NY we call leatherjackets can eat the hell out of roots but generally goes for decaying plant matter

It is sometimes called a crane fly or a mosquito hawk. Best way I can describe them is an enlarged mosquito with spindly legs. They don’t bite people or eat plants. This far south they are a very minor nuisance.

@monkeydo That looks like what we call a daddy longlegs. A few grows back I nearly shit myself because a couple of them hatched out in my pots, I saw the soil moving one day and this big fucker start appearing out of the ground, it reminded me of the start of Raising Arizona 😆
It looks like a daddy longlegs to me to tbh massive legs tiny bods and they float about instead of fly straight,if it's a daddy long legs there more of a pain in the arse then harmful type of fkers that have to be in eye site at all time
The Crane fly (Mosquito hawk) adult will not hurt our plant at all. The Adult Crane Flys do not est and only live for a few days. However the Larvae is what you need to watch out for, they will eat decaying plant material and roots.
I was told that the May fly has proportionally the biggest penis (twice as large as its body) in the animal kingdom . So it maybe a threat to females but only lives a day so there's a moral there somewhere. I don't think they have a mouth either.

Thanks for all the input! I've been out a couple of days and got behind I'm lower central US ...dang near eating tacos so far south! I haven't seen anything that looks like damage so I'm going to ignore them. Getting so close to harvest I guess I am getting nervous! Thanks again for the assistance!
