Ok was checking on the plants I have in my greenhouse and noticed that I had the beginning signs of spider mites. I have about a week till I chop em down. So the question is do I try to rid the plants of the mites? or harvest them early and avoid anymore damage? if I do try to get rid of em what do I spray/ apply to get them gone that won’t contaminate my buds.
@backblast you can hit them with a good spray of water. That will knock the population down and buy you some time to harvest. Just ensure a fan is on them to dry it off after so you don't get any mold. That is about all you can do at this point. If you don't want to do that I would chop em down and do a budwash to get all the bugs off. Good luck!
@shonuff was thinking about doing the chop and wash. to be honest always skeptical about the wash feels so unnatural to dunk something in water before I try to dry it 😂
@backblast it honestly doesn't do any damage as long as you are careful. I've done it a few times with outdoors and scoped before and after. Saw no difference in trichomes but much less nastiness. Just be sure to drip dry a little before they go into your actual drying area. I lined mine up on cardboard after washing for a bit.

I would add, you can try vacuuming the bugs off, and try to push it the extra week, but its your call. but either way you should wash the buds after harvest 
@macky good call, I have also heard of people using an air compressor to blow the little bastards away! 😄
And make sure you clean out your vacuum very very well after.... Or just burn it. 😆
Well ended up chopping and washing one of the two plants that were infested. The one I left in the ground wasn’t as bad so I trimming the really bad leaves off which wasn’t much and got as many mites as I could off with a bit of water hopefully that will keep ‘em at bay till she’s ready.
At least some can be salvaged 💪 really beautiful looking buds as well 😍
