Hello all, I recently was watering my plants when i noticed these little white bugs motoring all around the top of my soil.   I dont see any signs of them anywhere on the plant and seem to be staying on the soil.   Its living soil (organic).   Have grown many plants so far in the tent and never saw them before or just didn't notice them.   Any help on what they might be would be greatly appreciated.

@cannacanuck Im not sure as they are very small, but these could be aphids babies.... Could we have a pic of the plant so we can see what damage is being done to it?

There about the size of a sugar granule.  I've never seen anything like these and dont resemble anything I've seen.   Closest I've found in resemblance is dust mites but I dont know how small they actually are.

After waking up and having coffee and a couple of wake n bakes, I think they are spider mites mate! But they usually sit on the plant not the soil, unless there is a lot of them. Have a god check underneath the leaves, close up, and see if you can seee any there. Also look out for tiny white dots on the leaves, like the colur has been sucked out of certain spots

@macky I'll give it another look when I get home from work this AM.   I looked over it well before and didnt see any on the plant or the dots.   I did a soil drench and added nematodes a few days ago and will be doing another this AM.   Will put some diatomaceous earth on the top afterwards aswell.   I have had spider mites before but not ones that look like these little buggers lol

Thanks Macky

They look like mould mites (tyrophagus putrescentiae) from the picture...they dont damage the plants, apparently, and only eat fungai but can carry some nasty bacteria

Dont drench the soil as they thrive in high humidity
