@discobiscuitt They look like springtails mate but springtails are white.... are they white and the light is just making them look dark?

Look just like springtails mate but i have never seen dark ones like this, that's the only thing i can think of lol. Im not sure what else they could be

I’m agreeing with macky. Springtails come in different species like everything else.
These are all over my woodworking this time of year. I just recorded this 10 minutes ago. They are “cotton springtails” and like the others are harmless. We had an explosion of these this year and I was concerned they would get into my grow but they turned out to be good guys and only east decaying plant material, like sawdust apparently.

@schroomy I was a bit worried but after a lot of reading it's seems there quite a good thing to have in somewhat small numbers, apparently they eat dead materials and break down into nutrition for the root zone.
