Well I can’t say I’m pleased with greenhouse seeds one iota.
the lost pearl they put out is 50/50 & their exodus cheese is pitiful. However the lost pearl I want to keep but not as it is it needs work
one is tall branchy looked like it might be good & turned out to have little bud sites.
the other is not as tall but has lots of colas, my plan was to find another and reveg the good one as she’s a keeper, clone it as well when it’s reveged enough
If I find another decent one I was going to cross the a clone of the reveg with it clone one as the mother cross it and recross the outcome with a clone of the reveg
Or Cross two clones but wouldn’t the outcome be better strain if I use another good one
@mix you want to find the best two you can, hunt that combo down till you find what you want and then either clone or self that cut. It could take multiple generations till you hit that prize cut though. This is kind of the reason some of the top shelf stuff is 7-10 crosses down the line before they find that perfect cut. Breeding is tedious but if you stick with it you can net yourself a really nice cut.

Stabilizing the strain is usually done by breeding the F1 crosses back to the mom. Start by selecting the keeper and call her the mom. Select a second keeper and cross it with a cutting of the mom resulting in F1. Breed the offspring back to a cutting from the mom to get F2. Select the best from the F2 and cross it back to the mom for F3, and so on. If your selection is good, the strain should become more stable with each back cross.

if I’d just grown the one and it turned out like the tall one did I’d never grow it again so thier kicking themselves in the head, guess with all the new outlets fancy new strains there doing stuff they never used to or doing less than they used to before releasing a strain the variation is like chalk & cheese
