Like, when I see the colour red, is it the same as your colour red, or do our brains perceive color differently?

Is this why people like shitty colours? Like when you see a car, thats a nice car, but the colour is shit, and youre like " who the fuck would have a yellow car"..... but maybe, that person sees yellow, as a bad ass dark green or something... you know what  I am saying??

Stoner discussion,.... discuss lol

I’ll start this off by saying no we don’t see colours the same. For one the car thing like macky said, but also I’m colour blind so struggle with a few different shades like some reds/brown some browns/greens yellows/green and blue/purple. That’s why I’m not in the Air Force or an electrician ?

Oh yeah interesting stuff - how do I know what I am seeing (which is just light reflecting off a surface and being processed by our brains) is the same thing someone else sees, for that matter, what do animals see?

I have really noticed this phenomenon since the shift to 4k/ultra HD tv. It is actually better than what our eyes can see naturally, I believe the eye functions around 1080p naturally but could be wrong

If the video source is better than the eye can percieve...what is the point of constantly upgrading it ?? Its not like we can do the same with our eyeballs....yet 😉

My youngest moans if his FPS drops below 80...eye can only percieve about 44 max ?

Colour is an emotion...it makes you warm & fuzzy or cold & shivering...Its very odd the effect colour can have on a room and on a mood and no not everyone sees the same, the brain processes the same but sub-concious has an impact before concious gets the conclusion

I agree I have never understood why the need for tvs beyond what the human eye can detect haha.

An interesting point, I watched a show of people who had their senses mixed up. One lady could taste colours, one could see music as colours emanating from the musical source.  As well apparently there are people who are born with an extra cone in their eye that enables them to see colours the average person can't.  I think we have 3 cones naturally this person had a 4th

Here is something. I was born without a sense of smell, i can taste fine but it might be different then all your taste. Sucks i can't smell bud,but i am a custodian so it kinda works for the job haha
