how do I fit into the American weed culture?

Best thing you can do is be yourself mate! Where in the USA are you ?

@macky New York, but it's temporary. Everything here is very expensive. Later I will go to some other state but I don't know where yet. It's hard for me to choose yet because I really only know about America in general terms from books and movies, but for regular human life I need time to get used to it. I ended up here by accident so it's hard to get used to it but I don't lose optimism.

@cybermonster It doesn't matter where you go mate, it will take time to adjust and get used to a new life. But you will be ok I would consider Oregon, looks like a nice place and has a good weed industry too. New York is well known for being expensive and people are not as patient as other states..... but this is only what I have heard, I have never been there so I dont know. Youll be fine though mate It just takes time to adjust

@cybermonster I’ve lived in upstate NY my whole life pre legalization here people were very hush hush about there cannabis use. Now people don’t give a shit. I’ve meet tons of smokers at head/smoke shops and to some extent grow stores in my area. Now if your down state the people there are not as friendly to a certain extent. One thing when it comes New Yorkers is we are Brash people we tell it how it is no time for nonsense. Upstate New York is a different world tho compared to the city it’s the maple tree forest up here and life’s a bit slower and cheaper.

Welcome to Percy’s @cybermonster and welcome to America too! It can be confusing but some areas are far more expensive to live than others, I’m talking 4-5 times as expensive in some areas vs others. Use the internet and explore other cities and states looking at the median income and cost of living. It’s a decent indicator of how expensive it will be to live there. Lots to choose from in the US and different areas offer different culture too so do the research and I hope you find a place and people that meets your expectations. Long live Ukraine 🇺🇦

@monkeydo Yes, you seem to be right. I've already started looking into this issue and realized that even neighborhoods in the city vary greatly in price. We'll see what happens next. Maybe I'll try to buy at least the cbd stuff. I'm a little apprehensive about this because I haven't quite figured out how legalization works in America by state and by product category and all that. For example in our country we have both marijuana and hemp banned and it applies to the whole country, and here it's pretty confusing.

Yep, this “legalization” in the US is very difficult to understand for many. If you are in a legal state, New York is considered legal, then you can buy cannabis from approved sources. Unfortunately for you there isn’t any legal source in New York yet because the legal dispensaries haven’t opened yet. Unless you do something crazy you will probably be fine as the police in legal states don’t want to worry with small time users unless they have to and they know people will be trading back and forth till the dispensaries open and some even after that. Best advice is to grow your own, that’s definitely legal in NY.
