How to Make a Test Batch of Cannabis Oil Using 2 Grams
Cannabis edibles are intimidating for some, specifically, infusing oil or butter with cannabis. Many individuals believe that cannabis oil or butter needs copious amounts of flower material, but, this is simply not true. Learn how to make a test batch of cannabis oil in your own home with our easy method below.
Cannabis edibles affect everyone in a different manner. This is due to the endocannabinoid system which is unique in every mammal.
An appropriate “flower to oil ratio” should always be considered when making any cannabis infusions.
This test batch of cannabis oil contains just two grams of cannabis and is suitable for those who have never tried edibles, or, have a lower tolerance for cannabis.
After decarboxylation and the infusion process, if these 2 grams of cannabis have 20% THC, the one cup of carrier oil will contain approximately 320mg of THC (inflated approximation).
Breaking this down further, if a recipe for cookies calls for 1/4 cup of oil and makes 20 cookies, each cookie will contain approximately 4mg of THC, a perfect place to start in the world of cannabis edibles.

Epic guide as usual! Youve got some good content building over at your site now man, keep it up mate
cheers bro, means a lot! thanks for checking it out
Yeah, I don't know why I didn't think of this... I have a 1/2 sized crockpot I bought exactly for this purpose before I bought my MBM... but never used it. I've always been hesitant to use 'higher quality' material (i.e., not trim, decarb, outdoor-grown, etc.) due to the lack of edible efficacy for me/high relative cost of regular flower. This is a perfect way to do some bench-scale testing and then scale up if I find something that actually works. I'm excited!! Some experimentation will be happening in the near future I think... ?
As always great work bruv ?i think i may be trying some of you recipes real soon here lol got a collection of trimmings building an i need to do something with them before i get made to bin them lol

Thanks TG and Mac, really appreciate it
@templegrower I agree man, I was so put off edibles for a long time because I didn't want to use like a half ounce when cannabis was illegal and there was no consistent supply (back where I used to live, not Canada) - 2 grams into 1 cup is a very good starting point in my personal opinion; it lets the consumer get used to the taste of cannabis oil as well as determining a dosage without going overboard and blacking out lol
@scottishmac if you're going to use trim/leaves/stems for a test batch I would try to get a least 6 grams into a cup of oil to try it out, may not be strong for you but at least you will know you need to use more
Always quality articles from you, Ive learned a lot from them and will be trying a smaller batch this time with 2 grams of bud instead of ounces of trim, Thanks for sharing
