I’m in the middle of transplanting and the gnats are getting worse again.
I was thinking top dress with the last of the d.earth till this bt kicks In
As I am going to be adding fresh soil for them to feed on witch will make them live longer
do you see any problems with adding d.earth & using the pucks
I don’t know if it will kill the bt hence asking
tbh I don’t know what bt actually is,is it a fungus or ?
more to the point I kinda need a answer asap as the soils dry & I need to transplant & water (with the added bt )
top dressing before I water helps move some of the d.e down to the roots were there feeding
laugh or cry
expand the mind

The DE works by shredding the wings as they come out of the soil, and it only works if it is dry. You dont necessarily want to water it into the soil but have a layer on top of the soil. That will do the job mate

Yeah I kwim about it being useless when it’s dry albeit it does have one benefit you can’t water to fast 😆 wet it shreds the little burgers time to hunt down my dust mask don’t want to be swallowing any of it myself.
