  I have have no idea what I'm doing, this is the first time I've tried. I'd say they've been in the water a week or so. Are these roots starting? Also, those little white spots are not below the node you can see in the bottom of the picture. Should I cut that at that node?

@aadam6om6 frequently those white spots are places where roots might sprout from. Rooting in just slower in water so patience and regular water changes are important. Older branches seem to root easier too

@aadam6om6 Adam- aeroclone or dwc?

as long as the stem appears and feels healthy to the touch, and if topside she still looks viable, leave it and wait. If the cut end or stem gets mushy to the touch, she’s a gonna.

I do aerocloning, I don’t fuck around with a humidity dome or worry about my lung room RH, I keep the room about 80F, and light around 200ppfd. I use straight RO with canna rhizotonic, once roots take off, I change out the Rez and start adding veg nutes (about 250-300ppm, (using the 500 scale)).
how much time it takes can depend on cultivar and health of mum at the time cuts were taken. My process has worked well for me except my current cloning activities— Amy Aces cloned no problem, my nakatomi plaza mum was not in ideal health prior to taking cuts, and it showed in stark contrast as I tried cloning both mums at the same time!
as stubborn as the NP was, took about 14 days for signs of roots. AA was about 7 days until first signs.

@Sevans DWC for this try. I didn't pay attention to any PPM numbers or anything so thanks for the valuable information! It's just something I'd like to learn how to do. Sounds like aerocloning is next.

@aadam6om6 lots of ways to do it as you know. Because I grow both hydro and in soil, my cloning process needed to accommodate both, so when I’m pulling rooted clones I can go to either grow method. Therefore I’m focusing on hydro methods of cloning. I’ve put a few cuts in root riot plugs when my cloner ran out of room, and it worked, but I like to get comfy with one process before trying another.

I tried DWC cloning a few times, it wasn’t hugely successful for me, but I didn’t give it 100% effort. At the time, another grower I know (outside of Percy’s) showed me his process and how simple and successful it is, I switched!

so theirs three stages to a clone after cutting these stages can be prolonged by under feeding a clone. Clones should be getting feed an ec just a little lower than the mother plant was being feed. Stage one is calacing which happens in the first few day which is what your clone is currently doing. Stage 2 is striking where the clone starts to creat what would be proper roots. Stage thee is searching roots becoming large and hunting for water and food. Main keys to healthy clones is one nutrients lowering them to much will cause stunted growth and take longer for the clone to get healthy roots you see this in the leafs they will start to yellow if its not being feed right. Usually foliar feeding is the best method in the first stage to keep them happy. Humidity to much humidity is really bad for clones and will creat what is called damping off where they go soggy and wilted looking to prevent this always keep your humidity dome cracked atleast 15%\25% to allow them to breathe if you do close it completely remove the dome atleast once a day to allow fresh air for the clones doesnt need to be for long usually when foliar feeding this is long enough hope this helps you

Take it easy, if its easy take it twice

There is a write up here on Percy's,

Have you seen @Artmann video on YouTube?

I've used the CloneX gel and plain 6.5ph water with success in both rockwool cubes and rapid rooter plugs. You will find what is easiest or what you prefer, keep at it man! Goodluck. 😎👍
