Sick Plant Yellow leaves : Overwatering or nutrient issue?

Hello !
First time grower here.

I've 3 plants (Buddha Kush; Critical purple Kush and White Widow) on flowering stage.
2 of them are healthy and buds are fattening well.

The 3rd one (White Widow) is not doing so well. Buds are forming; but most of the leaves are yellow or light green. (Pic below)

241380015 1275742782877698 3805299991503749815 n

I've left the house for a month; and a friend was in charge of watering them. But he put much more than what I asked/used to put. (I'd put around 3 litters / plants / day -- He was putting more than 5 / Plants / day).
I live in a hot/dry place; and with 3 litters; I had healthy plants; and dry soil everyday.

My main question is : Is the yellowing due to the watering; or nutrient issue; or post/disease issue??

I'd like to balance that as quick as possible so my plant becomes healthy again and buds can develop normally.

Here is another of my plant for fun/comparison purpose :

ANy advices is welcome.

PS. A friend told me to take of most of the leaves of my plants to let buds get more energy removed link I'm scared to shock my plants into vegetative state. What should I do?

Thank you and happy grow to everyone.

The proper way to check for ripeness is with a magnifying device like a 40x jewelers loupe or a digital microscope. Here’s a how to guide explaining the process

If it’s only happening to one plant then it might just be something different. How long has that White Widow been in bloom? It’s getting to be that time of year where plants will start to ripen before harvest. Have you taken a look at the trichomes yet?

Hello, Thank you for the reply.

I would have trouble saying how long it has been in bloom as 1 : It's my 1st grow so I'm not good at identifying and 2 : I saw signs of blooming very early; but there was no evolution for a very very long time.

If I had to give an answer; I would say 1.5 month to 2 months; with early signs of blooming 2.5 months ago... (1st trichomes and "testicules" kinda thingy on the start of the branches).

Here are some closups :

White Widow (yellow plant) :

WW2
WW1

Critical purple Kush :

Crit Purp

Buddha Kush :

Buddha Kush

Do you reckon they seem "healthy"?
How long before harvesting?

Thank you !
As 1st time grow; I think it looks okay; but I fear to make a mistake at the end and waste the hardwork =)

Take no notice of your friend LoL The leaves are where the buds get their energy to grow, take them off, you'll have nothing...

And I wouldnt worry too much about the leaves, plant looks nearly there from the pics and they do this around the end of flower sometimes, its called Senescence

I see. THank you.

I did trim the base of branches (lollipop style) and remove unhealthy leaves.

You talk about end of flowering; any idea how long it will take before harvest? The buds seem quite small and I'm hungry for moar ! But it should make for a nice harvest as a 1st time grow.

Thank you =)

Hi @karudina I had pretty much the same issue not a week ago with my Cotton Candy and Caramelicious Kush's.

The general consensus was end of life Senescence. It is hard to see how yellow they are, but the leaf is a pretty good idea. This was 5 days ago - Day 100 , 39 since flip to Flower Smile

Nice.
What did you use to see the trichomes?
I tried a simple magnifying glass; but I can't see them that well.

Nice plant you got.
