Flagstaff Gardens in Melbourne had a cannabis rally but it was also attended by the Victoria police department.
The cops harassed, searched and arrested people, including medical patients. They handcuffed, then took them away even after they said they had medical cards, then released them later. One elderly gentleman was strip-searched by police in public view, humiliating him completely.

Victorian police😠😠😠😠😠 always the first of our state police to push things to far. Just watching how they sat back and allowed BLM protesters free rain on the city but don't dare protest your personal freedoms, we'll knock granny's over and shot you with pepper pellets and rubber bullets. Cops here have damaged themselves well beyond excusable in the last 3 years. God I hate those fkrs

@improper_weed_viking Yeah I'm not a fan of them on good days let alone after all that went down. I watch a bit of the parliament sittings when they are discussing cannabis and reform, the last one I watched was with the legislation cannabis member in WA asking the police why cannabis was illegal etc, the answer from the police commissioner was just peddling the "it's dangerous and we will prosecute anyone we see fit". The worst part about the Melbourne issues was that there were over 1100 officers that had not been officially sworn in so were essentially illegally arresting and charging people for the last 3 years, the courts are currently over flowing with appeals because of that stuff up lol
