New Hampshire senate killed two cannabis bills

New Hampshire tried two bills at legalization, both failed.

Once again, the morality police are standing in our way. They killed two bills, one would have created a state monopoly on cannabis, which we don't want. The other bill would allow personal use and home-grow. 

All the states around New Hampshire apparently are legal. They are getting all New Hampshire business. But the opponents are not surrendering. 

“I’m not ashamed of that, I’m proud of that. It may be what people want, but it’s not what we as a Senate should enable them to do because it will cause harm,” Sen. Bob Giuda, R-Warren. He went on talking about teen use and traffic fatalities, the usual bs brought forth by the zealots.

Thanks buddy, but I don't want a pastor as my nanny.

The pro-legalizing side made this argument:

“The so-called war on marijuana has not worked. It does not make us safer, it wastes taxpayer dollars and it has needlessly ruined lives.” Sen. Becky Whitley, D-Hopkinton, 

Then the opponents tried the bs about conflicts between state and federal law. 

“In that fight, we know who is going to win, and it’s not going to be us. And people are the ones who are going to be hurt. Maybe they’re all going to smoke so much pot they won’t care – they’ll be oblivious – but we care, and we should care about putting our constituents in difficult situations.”

Sen. Sharon Carson, R-Londonderry.

We see what you're doing lady. How many innocent people have to suffer because of your personal (and erronious) beliefs?
