The Oklahoma Municipal League, the Association of Oklahoma Narcotic Enforcers and Oklahoma Faith Leaders are pushing three bills. It would increase penalties for those who illegally sell weed. It would also increase Oklahoma's authority to strip licenses for businesses that violate state laws.
“When the state question passed, I think people in Oklahoma — and people across the country for that matter — didn’t think that we would be the forefront of the marijuana industry, So we weren’t ready from a regulatory standpoint at the city level or the state level.” - Daniel McClure, the Oklahoma Municipal League’s deputy general counsel.
All three bills cleared the Public Safety Committee by 11-1 votes last month and are headed for floor votes in the state congress.
THey are also pushing the seed to harvest tracking system.

We have spoken to some growers in Oklahoma and this has been rumored for a while now. The original weed bill was never thought of as being a threat so few actively opposed it. Because it was thought to be DOA, the proposition to legalize medical cannabis included a big wish list, it included almost everything, and of course it passed. Now these groups want to change the rules of the game at halftime. I’d say once again this is an economic situation. The churches want you to give them the money, not the dispensary and the law enforcement people have lost their grip on the people. Until the federal government gives us a consistent national standard the grab for power and authority in the states will continue.

I'm not sure Oklahoma will be cannabis friendly forever. Not like it is now. They blew it though. It's already law. It would serve them right if these folks already there were grandfathered in under old regs, lol.
Either way, it's going to cost the state a lot in attorney fees when they try to stop it. And they are going too. It may be too late.
But the Narcotic Enforcers are joining with the Oklahoma Faith Leaders!
