Its pretty easy to make your own cloner.... usually a cup of water will work lol. @Templegrower would take cuts and leave them in water until roots come from them, you dont always need these type of things, there is usually a much easier, cheaper way 😉

I've never used the pucks. I always wondered how you put them in hydroton. Rockwool cubes are solid. The roots come out the bottom. The cloners have roots just sticking out of the stem.

Yeah like Macky says.. water in a cup. I'm a lazy mafk though so, keeping it simple is what I like. Doesn't always work, and does take a bit longer than a fancy bucket but does me just fine usually. And you literally do nothing but keep the water topped up, and change it out every once in a while if it looks nasty. Brown or darker jars tend to work better than transparent ones.

I also do use peat pucks aka Jiffy pucks, tho I don't like the actual Jiffy brand of them. These are usually faster and more reliable.. soak em in a distilled water + a bit of sliced up aloe leaf solution and Bob's your uncle. Little more work than the jar method though as you need to keep them in a dome and in very high humidity (>90%) for the first few days as they absorb the majority of their water thru the leaves (no roots yet eh?).

Works great for starting tomato plants as well...

You aren't messing around. I just cut two clones. 😂🤣

@artmann well some are tomatoes..  and I make. A few extras for the guys in the band..  we are allowed 12 per household in my state
