If there are two identical pots filled with coir (say ACi 5 us-gal) sitting in water (Pot1 is in 1" and Pot2 is in 2") will they both fully saturate the coir given enough time? i.e. does the flood depth affect over all volume of which can be saturated or is it just saturation rate?
When it's saturated, is there a gradient to the nutrient content from bottom to top? For instance will a plant with small roots still get enough food as one with lots of roots. Or does the flood depth have to change depending on the plants development?
