I put the seeds in water this AM, will transplant directly into 3 gallon pots tonight.
As I have just set up the auto watering system, I will be monitoring this quite closely for a few days. I see the need to top water the seedlings even with the halos as the very center seems to get top dry after a day or two. So my plan is to let it both auto water and I'll give it a top watering every AM until they sprout.
Nice to use plural pronouns now, I won't be relying upon a single plant any longer. When this batch fills out, I'll see how much canopy I have and decide if I can squeeze in a third -- chances look good TBH. I would either be able to use just the two lights, or pop for a third (at $99 a go).

Jack and Bruce are planted. Next we wait.
Are you going directly into the three gallon pots so you can use the watering system from the start? A friend of mine with considerable experience and success says he finds transplanting into progressively larger pots/grow bags really accelerates growth, so, personally, I decided to start small and wait until the final transplant to install the halos.
Good to know about the possible need to water the center by hand.
And good luck with the grow. I'll be watching this one.
I'm disinclined to think of transplanting primarily due to transplant shock. I like to provide what I imagine mother nature expects for these little critters, and rooting in place seems to be a tradition in nature. I do see some possibilities around warming the smaller pots atop the lights for bottom warming, but so far nope.
Having said that, I've floated seedlings before, which must put their root systems through significant shock, yet they flourished.
I didn't plant Jack quite as deep as he should have been, I saw a sideways sprout this AM, did my best to cover her back up a bit and hope she didn't get light poisoning.
Tonight both seedlings broke surface. No pictures, they are just the tiniest of things right now. I'll give them a week to look presentable first.
A little early but here's a picture of Jack and Bruce. Jack is on the right, and has minor leaf damage, possibly from his sprouting issue.
When a proper second set of leaves show, I'll start them on 1mL/gal of grow nutes. Probably by Monday.
Hi, il watch this one I have two bruce banner #3 x bubblegum from mosca at 7 weeks flower, ill post up some pics tomorrow when the lights are on.

I'm fine tuning the irrigation system. I have roughly 1L going in at a time and a little over 100mL coming out. This is with the drippers at almost full off, so it's drips and not streams from the halos. The pump runs for 30 seconds to achieve this output.
I think this is where she needs to be runoff wise with coco, if that's not so please let me know.
I have mixed up the first 3 gallons of nute mix, at 1mL/gal of A, B and calmag. Also put another tsp of myco in the first watering just to be thorough.
Dawn Breaks on Marble Head. I realized 1L is from 12 hour waterings, I measured what the halo releases in a 30 second window and it is 200mL going in, not 1L. That means 100mL out is 50% so as I cannot reduce the flow much easier, I will reduce the window from 30 to 15 and see what the output is then. Might need a couple shots to get the output to be 20mL.
For what it's worth I've learned how to feed in run to waste without a run off if needs be.
Honestly if you need any advice on run to waste coco growing I have been growing this way for over 20 years now, drop me a DM buddy happy to share my experience.
at 20 seconds of pumping, I am getting 180mL input per plant, and 50-60mL output per plant. Still a little high, so I dialed it down to 15 seconds of pumping. Any lower than that and overhead like pump priming etc. become significant factors. One aspect I haven't considered is 4 hour intervals instead of 6.
Otherwise the plants are on the 1mL/gal nute mix and tolerating it well.
In related news, the Godfather OG auto that my brother is growing has exceeded 2 feet already. Plus his neighbor to the east cut down ALL the trees in their back yard, this opened the plant up to an additional 6 to 8 hours of light per day.
I am still fussing with the water flow, even with proper ball valves the difference between same and double flow is a tiny adjustment at best. I went from a 50% difference in flow rate to a 3x when I meant to bring it closer instead of farther.
I wonder if adding yet another stopcock to reduce the overall flow would make the adjustment easier?
I have only just put the first three gallons of nutes in the reservoir -- its been phed water only till now. I'm still trying to figure out how long a batch will last, let alone its chemical properties.
When I was checking AN pH, not with a reservoir, my concern was that it was too low, high 5s and low 6s IIRC.
TBH, I haven't even checked EC input or outputs on these girls yet, just going with the recipe that worked last time with a close eye for trouble.
