Away we go with another crazy mug run. This time around it’s a Strawberry Cough clone going straight into flower with zero additional veg time. I’m hoping this will limit the stretch of this cultivar but we will find out together. The clone was rooted and grown for a week in a solo cup before moving it into the mug. If I had known all this earlier she would have been transplanted directly to the mug after rooting.
This clone hasn’t even had time to fully reverse to veg yet but is right back under 12/12 along with her mom that is currently being scrogged.
The mug is in the special holder hanging from the top of the tent and is getting light levels of 350 par. The scrog was flipped earlier this week so both are on the same timeframe. Currently feeding once daily at .560 EC of Kangaroots, cal/mag and organic tea blends for a few days to let the roots get developed before pushing the salts at her. Here we go on another high maintenance grow 🤦♂️

I love watching everyone’s microgrows. I wish I had more time to care for them once or twice a day, but I’ve got a few ideas brewing so I just might jump in with you!
Been a while since I posted but she’s doing great and starting blooming immediately when flipped. No pampering other than filling the feed bottle up daily. She’s on a drip feed now using bloom nutes at an EC of about 850. This diary is going to be short as most of the grow is already done with the clone and there’s no issues with health 🤞
A quick tent picture. She lives in the corner of the SCROG tent and has been on drip feed at .850 EC. Time to get her buds moving with some Overdrive. She’s gonna be a short and chunky little lady.
This one is progressing normally. Short and nothing but bud. I added a support stick because the buds were to heavy for the smallish stem.
She is still on drip feed at 750 EC going through about 16 ounces a day. Starting with a clone made this lots easier.

I have to ask your opinion, Monkey, on the syn-ganic approach I am taking with my Puddle of Green micro grow. My syn-ganic approach is plants in soil with a self-watering res of synthetics. I figured that an EC of .8 for the res would be a good, low place to start for supplementing the nutrition in the soil, and based on my calculations this is less than 1/4 the recommended rate from the manufacturer. Now that I see you are growing micros at .850 on a drip, I cannot help but wonder if the EC in my res is much too high for them. Any thoughts on this? They are new sprouts so their feet have not hit the soil where the synthetics are wicking up from the reservoir.
@im_sparky the drip feed is constantly replenishing nutrition so everything the plants needs is immediately available all the time, even if it is in low concentration and is constantly being renewed so never runs out. I settled on this level after much trial and error. You’ll eventually learn what works best for you
Nothing out of the ordinary to report so this will be short and sweet. 8 weeks after flip and things are growing normally.
She is dark and frosty with about 2-3 weeks to go for chop. Starting with a clone has made this grow very simple. Feed is about 16 ounces per day of .595 EC dripped slowly over the course of the day.

@woodi2 the highest EC on this grow was .800, I find that micro grows in coco like plenty of liquid pushed through with the feed, hence the low EC and high fertigation rate.
@monkeydo, yeah I think mine will get chalked up to first time, oops. I thought with the small container that it would reduce size more but with the frequent fert and at a higher EC, I believe that's what leads to Giant Midgets.
I wonder if incorporating @shonuff wick system would reduce the overall amount of nutrient consumption, make it more fuel efficient. BPL- buds per liter or more Giant Midgets?
Well this one is chopped and hanging. While working in the tent yesterday I noticed some very late flower nanners starting which appear when this cut is typically ready for harvest. As there are other early flowering plants in the same tent, I decided not to risk seeding that run. This isn’t going to be a big yield as this clone never fully reversed before starting to flower again. The wet weight was 48g so she will probably yield about 12g of dry flower. Will report back when it’s dry and trimmed.
