Name That Strain

Now that I’m starting to see some of the Monkey Made seeds grown out, it is time for the first one to be properly named. The F1 cross causing the biggest buzz around the site is undoubtedly “Nakatomi Plaza x Pineapple Chunk”. I’ve seen 2 smoke reports on it already and hope to see even more soon. Apparently it’s supposed to be very potent and nobody has been able to nail down a flavor profile so let’s say “complex”. Mine are on hold in veg, waiting for their slot in the flower tent. I’ll probably get to sample this one early next year. Instead of waiting a year to make its mark, it’s time to start the naming process. Let’s do this……

Because this is is sort of like a brainstorming process, first of all you may enter more than once. After hearing someone else’s ideas it’s OK to build on those too, that’s the process of getting the perfect name. Every comp needs rules so here they are.

Rules:

1. You must have 10 post or more to enter this comp
2. You may enter more than once but be warned, if you’re just spamming BS I’m not going to even read or consider them so please don’t clutter the thread with garbage. If it gets too bad posts could be deleted.
3. Building on ideas is perfectly acceptable. If a built-on name is chosen, the first person to post the full name as chosen is the winner.
4. The name can refer to the parents but does not necessarily have to.
5. You cannot suggest the name of an already existing strain. I suggest you Google or search Leafly for the name before you enter it.
6. The winner agrees to allow me to officially name the strain with the winning selection and reserves no rights to the winning name (yer, legal crap but 🤷🏻‍♂️)
7. As this is the first time I’ve run a comp like this, Admin reserves the right to modify this comp if it is deemed necessary.
8. All forum posts are time stamped. In the case of duplicate names, the person that posts first has the valid entry. First in wins.
9. Have fun with it. How can you even enforce a rule like this, you can’t, but that’s really what keeps this place special. This is mostly for fun, plus some Monkey goods too.
10. Winner will be chosen by Admin with input from members that have grown the strain.
11. The winning selection will forever be associated with this cross 

What do you win:

• It wouldn’t be much of a naming comp if you didn’t at least get some of these beans. I’ll send the winner 12 of these feminized seeds AND you can pick any other Percy’s member and I’ll also send them six beans
• Something from monkey wouldn’t be right without stickers and a monkey pipe included in the package 
• There are quite a few of these seeds already circulating so this prize is completely transferable to other members
• Other “tester” F1 and S1 tester beans included too
