So was wanting some seeds, found out I had some points to use so got auto ak-47 and auto cream mandarine from Dr. Trichome, never heard of this seedbank before or seen it ever. But they were within my points limit and I'm willing to try new things (sometimes). Anyways.. seeds arrived and got a freebie of auto black domina as it's the freebie I thought try that first. Read it up online, got some info, gets blacker with lower temps.
So I'm gonna try indoor and outdoor with this grow, just something for me to experiment with at this time of year, I know it's not gonna be as good as just leaving it in a good environment, but after 4 weeks not growing I'm really itchy, and I'll try anything right now to see a real life plant (budporn just doesn't do it for me anymore). Starting off indoors using natural sunlight and then my tent for a couple more hours. Eventually leave outdoors in my experimental stealth area. Adding ornamental plants as cover crop. As it's stealthy probably be topping and lst to help keep low level, the position gives it all day sun during the day which is in my favour at least.

Yep great strain, colours will come out if you keep temps on the low side. I have some Jack Herer x Black Domina autos on the run atm. Keen to see how this comes out for you mate! Good Luck.
@bubblehok, I wanna ask you how low you think I can go with temperatures? Would doing low temps in veg help with making a blacker plant? We live in different hemispheres, will you be able to bring out the darker colour and if so how? Any advice much appreciated

As for the temps I wouldn't be pushing them lower than around 20c, once you get under that the plants processes will start slowing down and it can negatively effect your yield. Some plants can and often do get exposed to lower temps but it's more about the swing between high and low than it is about an absolute low temp point. For arguments sake I am already seeing colour come through in veg on my 2 girls and they are just kicking into flower now. Bearing in mind mine are cross breeds of Jack Herer and Black Domina so mine may not go as dark as you could potentially get yours. That being said my high temps are super stable at the moment and I am seeing 27c Max with lights on, lowest it has gone at lights off is 20c and I am already seeing the main fan leaves showing a tinge of colour come through. As I am now moving into autumn here the temps will begin to gradually get lower at night so I have my lights off during the hottest part of the day and on at night to keep them consistent. For your part of the world you would be moving into spring so your temps will be coming back up, you could probably run the same way I am now and get the results your after. I like to run my autos on 18/6, being you are running outdoors you will be at the mercy of Mother nature so you won't be able to really have a whole lot of control over the temps as I do growing inside. All that info later and the takeaway is really that the swing between high and low should be at least 5-8c to trigger the plant into producing those colours for you.
I have a really nice picture I will be putting up on my diary later today or tommorow(when I find myself 10 minutes to actually sit down and right out the update lol) that shows the colours I mentioned so you will be able to see what I mean there. Other than that mate enjoy the ride it's a great strain I am already getting aniseed and pepper notes coming through so expect some funky smells.

They are just going into flower amd up close you can see the colour on the edges coming through slightly but I'm not expecting the full array of colour till nearer the end.
Auto domina day 17:
Not much to report. I don't do readings or check things. I don't have the instruments, nor can I afford them, so I can't report there. I got a little 25w led that comes on in morning and stays on till lights off, and I got my philzon going for 6 hours during the middle of the day. I'm trying to imitate natural sunlight, for when it goes outside. I think next week though I will be increasing the time on the philzon, stealth and cold spring are my main issues holding me back. I'm hoping my high temps in the tent don't shock it too much for the outside.
Topping and lst will be happening in the next few days, I want to go early on this auto, it's getting cold temps so may aswell stress it even more lol, strengthen the old girl up as they say. Anyway here's some photos..

Update domina day 21
Just a quick update, looking really good. Liking the strong stem and strong internodal growth, showing me I got good pk amounts in the soil so far, but making me worried it'll need more for flowering if it's eating this much already!
Couldnt decide between topping and fimming my fingers decided so it ended up being a harsh fimm as I slightly fimmed the internodes aswell. But three days on it's coming back and more stronger,
I did a bit of lst today. Getting it ready for trying outside, just waiting for weather to improve a bit more!.

Quick update day 25
Did some lst has I had a day off work. Broke a branch, hst'd a branch, but apart from that everything went well!!. The stem on this thing is like I've given it steroids, a good and bad thing, hard to lst but hopefully I got enough pk in their to help with flowering. In terms of growth I'm happy and having no problems so far, this girl is hopefully a strong one, not showing any signs of stress.
I think the fimming turned out ok, it looks like it worked but would like someone to say yeah that's how it should look. And also do you think the way I have lst'd is ok or could there be improvements? Many thanks Mcgrower.
Day 33:
The yellowing leaf is the first leaf, the rest looks healthy so not worrying at the moment. Just needing weather to improve before I start hardening off for outside. I work outside and bored of this rain now lol. Hopefully start showing signs of changing soon as well, still lst to keep her low ready for the stretch.
Still just rain and fish water I'm giving her, might change when she flowers... Anyways keep on growing mc.
Day 41:
Started off going well, lst training was going ok, then snap!, Damn, well one less, move another one snap! Ok I'm stupid now 😭, few days later snap 2 more. So I'm just an idiot!!, Complete fool who didn't learn. It is recuperating for now I think even though now it is one week into pre-flower.
Circled where I snapped them, I managed to save one as it didn't snap fully, so taped it up, a bit of savage hst going on.

Plant looks strong man, it sucks when it happens but in 2 weeks time you wont even notice anything is missing.
@mix cheers dude, yeah the one that didn't snap fully got a bandage around it, it's leaves aren't floppy so I'm assuming it's still living lol.

Hey Percy growers, starting to see a little problem, I'm getting yellow on the tips of the new growth, can't add pictures right now, will do soon. About 2 1/2 weeks into showing pistils. Using reamended soil. Watering distillled tap, and fish tank water every other tap drink. Don't have ph meter or anything to tell me what the soil or water is doing. Any idea much appreciated many thanks mc.
@mcgrower I dont suppose you have a barrel or anything you can catch rain in do you, I dont check the ph of my water, I just use half and half rain/tap water and it does fine. It is better to check things like that just so you know what your giving her but as long as I get weed to grow im happy not checking the ph.lol 🙂
