I recently discovered 7 East Genetics, an Ontario, Canada breeder less than 50km from me. They seem to have some great genetics grown under the Open Source Seed Licence. Equally impressive is the pricing, at about 50% to 75% less than most breeders. They also sell pollen if you want to make some seeds of your own, are a legit breeder, or are just a pollen chucker having fun.
On approximately May 9th I floated 5 seeds from 7 East Genetics which were two Cherry Popper, two Hash Dragon, and one Super Lemon Dragon. (I only started one SLD because I have one of them in flower already) as well as 2 bag seeds that looked viable. I think the two bag seeds are from some Pink Dream I bought from a grey market dispo. On May 13th all of the seeds had popped open and had enough tap root to put into solo cups of Promix HP. June 2nd they were transplanted into 5 gallon fabric pots with some DynoMyco sprinkled on the roots. I put both bag seeds in one pot.
I have 3 of their cultivars from my first grow with their beans in my flower tent. I did not document this grow, but they are in week 5 of flowering and doing great. I started with 6 seeds, and all six germinated in water without issue. I ended up with 3 females.
Checking in. They are all healthy and happy.

Training day, followed by simple PH'd water because they are getting pretty dark leaves. Side shoots are almost long enough to take a clone from each and throw the clones right into 12/12 so I can determine sex.
Just 3 days later...
Immediately after taking the photo in the post before this, I did more training to keep them spreading out and creating more shoots. I also took a cut from each one, popped them into the aerogarden with the (aerogarden) light off, and placed it in the bottom of the flower tent, which is running 12/12. Hopefully, in a week or so, I will know the gender of my plants. I hate wasting my time and love and finding out it was a dude. (don't ask, lol)
The next update will be exciting and feature new equipment.
The girls (fingers crossed) have had a great week.
My new equipment is that I replaced the 3x4 tent these girls were in with a 4x5 tent. It seems like a small change, but it has 2/3 more floorspace than the 3x4. (20ft sq vs 12) Because that tent was powered by a Mars Hydro TS2000, which was ok for the smaller tent but not enough for the 4x5, I added an additional TS2000. That is a bit of overkill but turning them down is easy enough. I like the idea of having the two lights because I may turn a 2x4 area of the 4x5 into a scrog and have a different light for the taller, regular blooming girls. Light is still at about 475 ppfd.
Here are the before and after images from today. My plans have also changed in that I am not waiting until I can determine sex and flipping them now. My little buddy, Mr. Butters, was checking to see if some nip was growing for him. I should work on that.
A quick update. Both of the bag seed plants turned out to be "dude looks like a lady".
They were the weakest links, BYE BYE.
Today, I culled two more dudes. Of the remaining three plants, two are confirmed females, and one is still unsure.
3.5 weeks into flower. Freshly defoliated. I found a herm today. It is now down to 2 plants. 🙁
We have reached the end of week 5 of flower. all is well with the two girls. They seem to be stacking well. I leave the carcass of their sibling in between them as a warning not to get any freaky ideas.
My apologies for missing an update. Things are filling out well after 7 weeks of flower. We are into the home stretch now. They were starting to show some calcium deficiency so they are getting shot of calmag for the next couple of feedings.
Every day, they seem to be adding more girth. Love them, big girls! The one on the right is the Hash Dragon, and on the left is the Super Lemon Dragon. (I switched them) In my last grow with the Super Lemon Dragon, she had bud flop by the end, and this one looks like it will, too, so I gave her a little rope action. We should be in the last couple of weeks. I will start to post some trichome pics soon. They are almost all cloudy, with a few stubborn, clear ones.
Welcome to week 9 of flower.
Here is the Hash Dragon
And here is the Super Lemon Dragon. This is a much better pheno than the first time I ran one of these seeds. This one has great smell and way more trichomes.
A little nug porn before I take them down.
Hash Dragon
I am going to miss these girls
