Seeds: Barneys farm Purple punch! 3 feminized seeds
Medium: Soil with perlite (a 35gal fabric pot with fox farm ocean forest (if I can get it with the lockdown going on) and the other 2 plants are going into the garden beds we have with some compost and coffee lol and grocery store cheap dirt and perlite.
Lighting (only while seedling and vegging until nice out): will be indoor to germ and veg under a desk lamp and living room lamp with a 60w CFL bulb each (120W straight from the dollar store LOL)
Ventilation: beside desk lamp is amazon fan blowing the wind lol
Food: General organics Biothrive Veg and Bloom OR Floranova line and some fish goop. With super thrive. I may add some epsom salts at the end and see what else happens but nothing over the top I dont think.
I'm really hoping they get big outside lol see what happens. I want to try the garden bed vs fox farms in a pot to see how much in its weight is it worth for the extra money compared to when feeding soil a bit cheaper and just nutes.
ANY and ALL advice welcome. Let's see if we can get some great looking plants this year that I can hug in my backyard lol.

Just started to tap root and split so I put em in. Cheap potting soil for now nothing special. Keeping them warm and waiting for a little green stalk from each cup and keep them living.
So we have life in 2 cups.....not so sure the 3rd will pop. I'll be sad if it doesnt but when do we call it quits on it and germ the next seed!? I think I'll give it til sunday and if nothing comes I'll dig and see what's up. The other 2 are seeming to do just fine. SO CUTE the little girls.....
@colacody Ihate waiting on them lol always one lagging behind because I kept her too wet. Ive rotted a couple seeds

@twisted1fl fuck I thought you need to keep em wet? I water it with very little water to keep it wet but it was fine for the other 2 so.....who knows
@colacody Lol some just dont make it, but my shelf isnt level and all the water in my tray ends up in one side so i have to moisten some more than others, plus the heat mat drying them out i usually end up screwing one up. All i try to do is keep it moist but not wet so they don't drown, others may do it different

@colacody seedlings are tricky to water sometimes. To be careful I use either a spray bottle of a pipet (dropper) to carefully keep the seeds just slightly moist, never soaked. To much and the seeds will struggle and the chances of failure goes up fast. Once you figure it out you success rate for seed will be over 90%. Looking at that picture it looks as one cup is very swampy so I’ll ask, do you cut drainage holes in your cups or is that particular one just not run through yet?

@monkeydo ya that pic was like 3 sec after s small splash of water. I do a little little splash just to get the soil a touch more moist. This one also didnt have a tap root yet so I'll see what happens. I have NO shortage of seeds for growing but I'm gonna go digging for it on Sunday if nothing happens lol. And then I'll see what I'm gonna pop from my barneys collection I won. Probably the strawberry lemonade but let's hope this guy pops

I have rotted 2 seeds last time I germinated in January. I have ordered some riot root cubes. They're supposedly organic. They have the perfect sized hole in one end for seeds and another small hole all the way through for clones too so I'm hoping for a good result using them. Seeds are too expensive to waste!
With autos I go straight into a the biggest pot I have to hand that suits. Not too big obviously. Then water ontop of the seed and an inch diameter around it. I wait until it's almost completely dry and water again. Increasing the amount of water as it grows.
Will be good to see how this one goes, can't wait I've considered that strain myself also.
I'm hoping all 3 go. I'll see what happens. I'm happy at least 2 have popped. Not even close to the tap roots that TGs glueberry og x romulan had. Lol those were beast tap roots lol. My friend has those now and hes slacking on joining the forum
Well this is my little ghetto set up going strong. Found another 9w little desk lamp CFL in the garage today and well.....fuck it it should help lol. I saw the seed had come into the loose dirt but...there was a taproot! So I covered her and watered her VERY gently...like an eye dropper almost and should be shooting in 48 hours....hopefully.....but main important bit is that it's not dead lol. My wife still has no idea that I bought the SP250 but I'm gonna let the post man let her know....I mean after you have the light it's all bits and peices for the tent....and I've been hinting at how I'm gonna need to move the cupboard the babies are on.....so she knows something is up LOL. Easier to ask for forgiveness than it is for permission! Happy growing friends!🙂🤟

So I've baked some egg shells at 250 degrees for 45 min....these will be smashed and blended into the garden bed to add some calcium. Worked great last year so going with it again. When they come to flower and having the Epsom salts a good calcium in the soil will help to balance the 2 out....given that I dont make any super strong potassium banana teas again.....fuck lol
Thoughts on the eggshells?

I have been tempted for the purple punch myself.
I have heard they take a long time to break down in the soil/medium.
Maybe mash them or put them into a coffee grinder to grind it into a powder and it may work into the soil better?
@diy-rik ya I crush them in a bag.....never a blender it wont be the same blender ever again....ask me how I know lol. I'm actually doing the gardens today and putting them in there.

I got some ready for my outdoor plants. Does putting them in the oven help break them down too?
@diy-rik ya and apparently it helps to kill any harmful bacteria also. They help to add a bit of calcium for the near the end of the grow and it helps to have them in there when the Epsom salts start being added to the feed during flower. Tho these nutrients are pretty balance I have so I'll have to see how they do through the grow

@diy-rik they supply a healthy dose of magnesium which is crucial in flower and to be balanced with calcium for Ph. Would never have guessed my wifes bath shit was helping grow some weed lmao but it works

1045 pm April 20th 2020....we have official life on the HOLY day. 3 girls readying themselves for the big world are confirmed to have started. They shall be nurtured and loved until there debut into the sun! What a great day it turned out to be!

So a Friday update and I'll be updating every Friday from here on out. My little Payaya is trying to grow but her leaf seems stuck. Its curved and weird looking but shes still growing for now but NOTHING in comparison to the other plants....they're just HUGE given the lights they have lol. Still on left out tap water in my basement beside some CFLs in desk lamps that are leaned over. The baby runt is payaya. The other 2 are to be named when they go outside. The little one I'm hoping makes it she doesnt look that great...any thoughts?
The Mars hydro came in the mail yesterday and the wife has no idea because she wasnt home lmao. So its tucked away down stairs lol. Itll come out soon but gonna have some work to set up all the stuff lol. That should go over well lol
