So I’m starting a fresh diary as my perpetual grow had to be halted due to us selling our house and moving close to the coast. We are now in our forever home and I was popping seeds the first night we slept in our new house.

This grow will be a those seeds and my first grow in our forever home. The plan is to make this a perpetual grow. Once I start flowering these girls, I’ll start my next grow in smaller tent. The tent I am using now is my flower/dry tent.

My tent exhaust is a ACInfinity Cloudline S4 as well as a ACInfinity 4” carbon scrubber(I’m still in legacy land)

The seeds this go around:

Ethos Seeds Lemon Berry Candy(first time growing her)

Ethos Seeds Orange Velvet Underground BX(my last grow and still enjoying her fruits)

Seedsman GSCrack(I’ve grown her several times. This is my last seed of a 5 pack)

Expert Seeds BlackBerry Moonrocks (I’ve tried popping several of these in the past with poor results)

I germinated these 4 seeds as well as a 2nd BlackBerry Moonrocks.  My hope was with previous experience, I’d hit on one of the two Moonrocks.  So far so good on the Moonrocks as this is the furthest I’ve gotten with these seeds. Germination was done via the paper towel method

Seeds we’re put in FFOF once the popped their tales. All four seeds that went in soil have popped up and are doing well. With the FFOF being hot, I have no reason to feed of any sorts for a while. I did water with a pinch of ReCharge today to get those roots working.

I’ll be using Green Planet’s Medi-One line which is organic. I’ve had great success with this line

Any feedback is great appreciated.

Day 8

Just chugging along. Girls have grown their first set of true leaves and continue to thrive. I added a small fan to blow on the girls and strengthen up their stems

I gave the girls ReCharge over the weekend at a fraction of the recommended strength and giving them just plain distilled water for now.  No need to feed early with FFOF

Lights are still on 24/0. I will flip to 19/5 when I get back home on Monday(taking a solo trip to NY). Temps are running 72-78. Not bad, but I’d like it a bit warmer. RH 55%

Day 12

Girls are continuing to thrive. I went up to New York(I’m from there originally) this past weekend to visit family and friends and left my wife to man the tent. She did well as everything was still alive, lol.

The Moonrocks is the tallest, but all 4 are showing some good growth. The GSCrack is currently the baby of the bunch.

Light cycle now is 19/5. The next watering for each of these will include a little ReCharge but still no nutes yet.

Humidity still hovering in the mid 50’s in the tent. I may run the humidifier to get that up though it’s extremely humid in my neck of the woods

Im planning on setting up the exhaust system for the tent in the next few days. Just got a new AC Infinity 4” carbon filter. I’m in 100% legacy land so I need to be on top of that.

Day 18

I decided to transplant today. All 4 girls were beginning to grow their 5th node, so I transplanted so I can really start training. I don’t like to train when they’re still in solo cups.

2 girls are in grow pots(Lemon Berry Candy and BlackBerry Moonrocks). The other 2 girls are in 5 gallon grow bags(Orange Velvet Underground BX and GSCrack) that I purposely under-filed. The plan is to veg these out another 2 weeks and flip.

Light cycle currently is 19/5. I transplanted with ReCharge and still have not given them any nutrients.

Day 23

This is more so an update on the tent. I’ve replaced the Viparspectra with the Mars HydroTSW 2000(300w) and hooked up my new carbon scrubber and fan. I can immediately tell the difference in the room with the smell. It had a smell of FFOF after I had re-potted a few days ago.

The girls themselves are doing well. I’ve begun some light LST to get them to spread their “wings”. You can definitely see undergrowth. I just gave the first feeding of nutrients today. 5ml/gal of Green Planet’s Medi-One at 25% of the recommended strength.

Day 27

Still in veg mode at 19/5. Girls seem to be enjoying their new homes and spreading their wings.  I have increased the light intensity to 60% so that roughly 180 watts.  Hoping this will help them grow a little quicker.

All 4 girls were finally topped. I used the FIM mode and just pinched off the tops with my fingertips. My goal was to have them flipped next Sunday but it may wind up being the Sunday after next, but I’ll how the growth looks.

Temps are running about 80F with lights on now that I’ve turned the lights up. Humidity has come down as well to about 50%. A tad below where I’d like to be. When I turn on the fan inside my tent, it kicks the humidity up to 60-65%.

Day 30

All is good in the hood here. Dealing with Hurricane Ian here on the Southeast East Coast but we have not lost power yet. Just lots of and lots of rain.

As for the girls, they seem to be loving life. Since turning up the intensity of the light, they are really thriving. They all responded well to the topping and now I’m going some LST. Both of the Ethos girls are really starting to fill in and become a bush.

Temps are running 80-83 with lights on and humidity 45-60%.  When I have the fan on in the tent, it really helps kick that humidity up. I will definitely be able to flip these girls in the next week.

Quick Update:

My Mars Hydro TS3000 crapped out on me last night. We did have a quick power outage yesterday due to Ian but lights came back on promptly including the Mars Hydro. Well I woke up this morning and light wasn’t on. Timer was working properly as was the exhaust fan. I replaced the Mars Hydro with my Viparspectra for now.  I’ve decided no more middle of the road lights and ordered a HLG 300L Rspec to be my flowering tent light. Once I get that, flowering will start

EDIT: Using the Viparspectra has brought the tent down to 75F. Not ideal, but could be better.   Hopefully this doesn’t slow nutrient intake too much

That's money well spent, man. Nice very addition to your arsenal, now let the flowering Begin!! lol

The 75f isn't bad, you'll probably cure that with the new light also. What about a PAR meter, hummmm???? 🤣 I'm just trying to help you spend your money!! lol

@woodi2 Growers spending other growers money, oh how the industry thrives on it 😂😂, lol. I do want to invest in a Pulse one day but the HLG will set me back a few months, lol.

I know the 75 is not bad, but they were really thriving with the warmer temps.  Looking at them now, the girls look a bit angry they’ll adjust.  And just when the adjust to the cooler temp, I’ll have the HLG to throw them off again, but that should be it, hopefully.

Day 38/Flowering Day 1

Last night was the first night of 12/12. Flowering has begun!

I received my HLG 350RSpec a day early and I’m in love. I should have bought this originally instead of wasting my money on the Mars Hydro. Currently the HLG is at 70% as flowering has begun.

My last feeding included 5ml/gal of Medi-One and 2ml/gal of Rezin. I will begin the bloom boosters(Massive & Liquid W8) within the next week.

Girls look really healthy and seem to be loving love. With the HLG, temps are right where I want them at around 80F.

Flowering/Day 8

Things are coming along nicely. Girls seem happy and life goes on. 2 of the girls are really stretching for the sky. The canopy in the 2.5x 2.5 tent is filling in beautifully The BB Moonrocks and Lemon Berry Candy are going for the state. This is my first grow in both of these, so I’ve noted for future reference.

The GSCrack is showing little stretch. Once the stretch is done, I’ll even put the plant heights via raising their saucers off the ground.

I’ve done a little manicuring on the underneath stuff and removed a few bigger fan leaves. I will do a big lollipop on day 20 of flower.

Flowering(Day of flip) 31 days

Well it’s been a while since an update. Girls are flowering along nicely and the bulking up should really take off now.

I’m on a heavier feed schedule feeding at 80% of recommended dosage. They are getting nutrients, boosters, and Cal/Mag every other watering.

The BlackBerry Moonrocks stretched to the sky. She’s just under the HLG and off to the side for a multitude of reasons. If you’ve been following my other posts, she looks like she’s growing seed pods or very very big bracts. They do have hairs coming out of them so I’m not 100% sure those are seed pods. She will be under a watchful eye until I can figure out what she’s doing. I looked for male flowers and did not come across any. I do smell the berries on here but it’s faint.

The Lemon Berry Candy OG and Orange Velvet Underground BX are both doing amazing and smell out of this world. The LBC smells of candied lemon just what I’ve been looking for the OVU has the same orange smell as the last grow.

The GSCrack is doing well and starting to bulk up. She has that gingerbread smell and has been growing the same as she did with my previous GSCrack seeds. She really wants to have the main long central cola.

The plan is to let all 4 girls go to 9 weeks(10 and absolute most) before the chop.  Because my flower tent is my drying tent, they all get chopped together.  I’m also planning on changing the lights back to 18/6 at week 8 of flower.  Word is that this helps bulk the plants up and by the time your chopping them, they haven’t fully switched back to re-veg yet.

So in the past, I’ve done perpetual grows as I’d be starting my next plants now.  This is no longer the case.  I will wait until these are dried before popping my next seeds.  My reason is when I listened to the HOHG grow guide on Perpetual Growing, someone mentioned that the law can charge you for a Cultivation Factory.  Unfortunately I still live where this all 100% illegal. This current grow should suffice for for a few months though   Happy Growing Everyone!!

Flowering Day 39

Well it’s been a ride since my last update:

Bad News 1st- The BlackBerry Moonrocks was KIA.  She was producing seeds and lots of them.  Decided just to cut my loses and never use that breeder again. The Lemon Berry Candy OG looks like it got pollinated just on one side and a few of the lower branches. The tops of the LBC look like they’re in good shape.  The Orange Velvet Underground BX and GSCrack look untouched and no signs of seed development.

Good News. The 3 remaining girls are healthy. They are really starting to bulk up now and the tric production is in full force. I’m still feeding fairly heavy @75% of the recommended strength but I will start to back that down over the next few weeks.

Lemon Berry Candy-Despite seeing a few seeds, I am salivating to try this. She is the tric production leader by far. Very shiny!!  The smells of lemon, bubblegum, and diesel.

Orange Velvet Underground BX-Strong smells of orange. She seems very similar to the one 1 grew on my last grow. She looks like she will be the biggest yielder of the 3. Solid tric production but not like the LBC

GSCrack-She will definitely be the smallest yields of the bunch but that was expected with my previous grows with her. She smells of gingerbread and hints of floral. She also has a much different bud structure than the other 2 girls. The GSCrack is growing smaller tighter calyx’s with more of a square shape opposed to being conical

Well in a fit of rage when I trashed the BlackBerry Moonrocks, I immediately assembled my 2x2 tent and begin cracking seeds. I’ve cracked Irie Genetics The Red Pill and The Rhombus and Greenpoint Seeds Gorilla Glue 4 S1.  One seed of each. They have all germinated and are now in solo cups……..I was due for a hiccup.  My last few grows went without issues for the most part and as growers we all need to knocked off or horses once in a while.

@growdad Sorry to hear about the Blackberry Moonrocks, but glad the others have you drooling! I love the variety you have going on.
