Hi guys!!

As suggested i'm starting now my digital diary. I'm at the moment at Day 42 since I inserted the seed into the Jiffy to germinate.

Medium:

Hydro (DWC)

Size of Grow Area and number of plants:

0,6 x 0,6 x 1,6 M grow tent(ProBox Classic) with one plant

Lighting:

150W HPS

Extraction:

100mm Extractor by Garden Highpro (107m3/h) on top of the tent and a 15W fan on the bottom bring air from the outside to the inside of the tent.

Normally I let the door of the tent open when the lights are on to prevent high temperatures inside the tent. Normally w/ lights on and door closed the temperatures reach 32ºC. I don't know if it's normal or if it's ok to leave the tent open.

Pot Sizes:

25L

Nutrients:

Try-pack Indoor by BioBizz

Mills CalMag

Vitalink pH Up/Down Easy 25% Essentials

Other Equipment:

PH meter - Milwaukee PH600AQ Digital pH Pen

EC meter - Milwaukee CD611 Digital Conductivity Pen

Air Pump - Marina 100 (85L/h)

2 Air Stones (10+15cm)

Plan for the grow:

I already done 2 rounds of topping (1st round - 1, 2nd round - 8), one week after the 1st round of topping I started doing some LST and preparing everything to do SCROG. Already mounted an adjustable wire net 20/30cm above the top of the pot w/ 7cm2 squares.

As I mentioned on the post about nutrient deficiencies, I'm having a problem at the moment w/ my baby.

Apparently was Magnesium Deficiency so I bought Mills CalMag and added 5ml to the reservoir. The EC before was 0,6mS/cm2 and after inserting the CalMag and 2ml of BioGrow raised to 1mS/cm2. Don't know if was a too big gap between levels. Don't know as well if I inserted enough CalMag. I believe I have approximately 12L of water inside of the reservoir.

I've never done DWC and only on my 3rd grow, hope you sort it out soon. In the same size tent though!

Macky should short you out or someone on here should know.

I use a chart that is like a poster with lots of pics of different leaves with deficiencies, I pulled 2 off the net which may be useful? I keep it in my phones note pad.

Also Macky's pictures are really useful on this website. Very easily understood and they give you lots of information at a glance keep it in my phones not pad.

I want to ask you as well a EC/Feed Chart as well. Now I'm guiding from this one but I dunno if this is the best one.

Thank you once again.

@macky Thank you very much man. Oh and btw, can you help me with the EC/Feed chart, if it's the most adequate or not and can you tell me if the root system is normal like this on?

Ph marks still showing, keep diligent on that ph level BS, it’s super important to control that in any hydro situation. Keep it up and this lady will reward you with her sticky bounty before you know it mate.

@monkeydo What are the pH marks? Normally the maximum that the level reaches is 6,2/6,3 and then I lower it to 5,7/5,8. Do you think is that too much?

@bs_monteiro those light streaks on those leaves look to be ph stress, at least to my eye. They show up when the plant experiences rapid swings in ph mate. If you can narrow the ph reading window some that would help. I grow in coco so it’s a form of hydro like dwc and ph stress can show up there too very easily. Plants thrive on consistency. While a small ph drift is normal and even healthy for the plant it should not drift quickly or be allowed to drift to far. The ph scale is logarithmic, meaning going from 6.5 to 5.5, the solution is 10 times more acidic. That’s a lot for a plant to handle if it changes quickly and our plants let us know when something is bothering them if you know the signs to look for. If you can narrow that swing your plant will appreciate it. It does not look like she is in immediate danger mate so don’t panic. Quite the opposite, you’re learning fast and doing well. Consistently is key in growing high quality Cannabis and that’s what we like to grow at Percy’s. The best weed we can get anywhere is homegrown 😉

@colacody Yeah I'm loving it! Much better than soil, in my opinion, and I think in certain way it's easier to control everything.
