This is a feed problem Shay, it is going to require some adjustments in the feed input. What are you currently feeding (all the bottles), what is the input EC and the output EC, and what is your ph input. The problem looks like calcium uptake issues. It can be caused by either to much or to little so that’s why the EC info is important.
On my first grow I didn’t understand or check EC either Shay, I followed a feed schedule just like you are doing. I learned that using EC readings were far better indicators of feed levels than charts can be, there’s a lot you don’t see with your eyes. I recommend you look into getting a good EC meter, they aren’t terribly expensive. As you continue to hone you skills it will become one of your go to instruments for plant health problems. Without having the numbers and just looking at your feed chart data your feed is probably to high for that strain and it’s making it difficult for your plant to uptake calcium. I’ve never used Buddha nutes so I’m not completely comfortable recommending changes with your products but I’ve solved these problem by lowering feed. In coco the first step is to flush and reset the media. A full flush with 3 times the pot volume of ph adjusted water followed by a watering of freshly mixed nutes is the first step. This should allow the roots a new baseline for nutrient uptake. Second step is the EC meter if you can afford it. With proper EC readings you can learn exactly what feed levels your plants prefer.
Thank you Monkey you’re a life saver. I’ll order one now. Is there a chart or something I must adhere to for EC? I’ll also flush them tonight.
There are charts I’ve seen but I don’t use them. I’ve just recently learned how to read and interpret the input and output readings and customize the feed to the plant. It’s a skill that allows you to give the plants exactly what she needs and increase the grow rate and the final quality. Of course we have some good info on the site. Check out these threads, they are quick reads with good info

This information will begin your education into becoming an expert grower mate.
Right so my Essentials EC meter arrives,
Fed the plants today
20L water,
10ml Meta boost
5ml PK
5ml Solar green
20ml of A+B
So BC is 0.6 from the tap,
after adding all the nutes it rose to 1.1, I Ph'd to 5.8 and fed all 4 plants.
Plant at the backs runoff measured 2.5
Plant on the lefts runoff measured 1.8
Plant at the front measured 4.6
Plant on the right measured 4.8
I have no idea what I need to do to lower the Ec before I feed, I now know i need to flush the front and right plant, ill do that tomorrow.
Hope someone can make sense of all this.
Many thanks
TSS
Excellent progress Shay. Now we can start finding out what your plants want. First of all the order that you mix your res is important for best results. The order that works for me is:
- Silica
- Cal/Mag
- ”A”
- ”B”
- PK
- others
There’a some chemical relationships that are important and this order is supposed to help with this. One other thing, I personally don’t use silica but I’ve been told it should be added to the water an hour early to allow best absorption in the feed. It definitely won’t hurt if you can do it.
The higher output EC is because your plants are using more water than nutrients. Start by lowering A&B a little. Instead of 1 ml/liter try .75ml. Continue to take the reading and in a couple days they will tell us what they want by reading the runoff EC. During this keep a lookout for changes in the leaves. Any deficiencies that show up we can adjust the feed a little. And don’t be shy with the questions mate. You will understand this all very soon and we are here to help.
So I’ve flushed plants front and right.
Fed all plants with an EC of 1.0 (0.4+Over the BC)
Back and Left plants have a Runoff of 1.5EC
Front and Right has a Runoff of 1.0
should I continue to feed with the amount of nutes I’m using to maintain the 1.0 feed? Or lower it.
Also I’m not sure if I’m overthinking or worrying that the plant at the back is a completely different strain!! The Buds look completely different. But from reading sativa plants take longer and it has thin leaves, same as the other three plants.
Today is day 59 from flipping to flower. I’ll try to get pics tonight of the buds. Thanks Again.
Don’t reduce the feed any more at this point Shay, the plants need to find what they want and make some adjustments. One thing I would mention is if you are already 59 day into the flip you can stop feeding the silica. At this point the plant probably has as much as it needs for stem and cell strength. This will reduce the input EC on the next feed also leaving more room for base nutes if they are needed. If the plants are stabilizing just hold the course, if they show a deficiency we can adjust.
As for the one odd plant, you most likely have a different phenotype in that plant. It’s the same strain but there are enough genetic differences to make the plant look and grow differently. Frequently it will also have a slightly different high as well but it’s normal to see different phenos.
Right so I found a plant at the back with bunches of Nannas(hermied) so I had to get rid of her.
Im hoping I didn’t leave it too late and it hasn’t pollinated the other three plants.
Ive take a few pictures of the plants and buds. All three plants leaves are starting to brown up a lot and I’m worried I may have a problem coming.
The ec feed has been 1.0 and the reservoir has been 1.4-1.5 for a couple of feeds. The end flush should start 14 days from today. I’m already a bit nervous after loosing the one plant so close to the end.
Oh it was a super silver aswell!!!! Tragic mate, thats a hard lose to take 🙁 Thought it was just a normal strain not this legendary piece of cannabis history, so unlucky mate, hope the rest have come out ok! How long until harvest now?
@TempleGrower hello mate could you tell me the bad news if these plants have been pollinated. Thank you
