So the story is... I cannot let anyone know I am growing, I have a detached garage that i keep my motorcycle in and the kids also keep bikes in.
My first challenge was building the grow cabinet without anyone saying "daddy whats that large box for with the bright lights"
I have a rather large work bench that i built year ago that has a ton of space underneath, so this is the place i will build my box.
Let me make it clear"" Noah would never employ me, I am a crap carpenter, I cut the wood to fit and hate measuring lol.

lol, brilliant work mate, that's going to be a nice little stealth cabinet!
Aslong as you have some intake coming from somewhere mate, youre good to ape up the edges. you have to make sure no light leaks..... unless you want to grow autos in there?

so lads i've run into a issue, i have a silent fan (connected to carbon filter) that i cannot hear running when my lights turn on, but give it an hour and i can hear a slight wind type noise, any ideas why it only starts after awhile? Still really quiet but not as quiet when first on

Highly possible its heat related as everything gets bigger when it get warmer, apart from Ice cubes, lol
I would guess at fan blades or bearings, what type of fan is it ?

You're running 260w of qb in a 60x60 cm tent ?
That's a hella lot of light
Is it dimmable ?

I have a 120w quantum board (dimmable) and I have 140w screw in led also. You think this is to much?
I can reduce the screw in by 20watts each bulb I remove.

Yeah the qb alone will be perfect mate. I'm using 90w atm in a larger space. The QBS light can be intense.
Which driver do you have on the qb ?

It says I can adjust voltage by removing grommet. Do these things get really hot? Easier in grow box than outside to hide it

Yeah under that grommet there's a small screw. Adjust the screw to dim the light. Will need a watt meter to get accurate measurement.
I would recommend getting it all built and put the driver where you want it then monitor temps for 24 hrs. If you put it in the box and it's too hot take it out.
I tend to move mine. In the summer I have all drivers outside my room and I have a fan blowing on them but i the winter when i need heat i put them back in the room to help out:)

Ivean has recommended to me before mate, that between 30 and 35 w per square foot is good for LED lights, so about 120-140 w with a QB

Cool if it's a b then its dimmable.
You got one attached ?
If so I'd dim it down to about 60w for seedlings
About 12" above the plants. Then as they grow raise the light and increase the watts

Cool I just need to get a dimmer for it, can I use a standard light dimmer?

Nope
You need to get a 100k ohm mono potentiometer.
