Four cuttings from a plant I picked from a seed grow of Proud Mary by Mr Toad at Boneyard Seeds. The genetics are SFV OG x Angel (1996 Romulan x 2005 Cataract Kush). There are 2 plants each in 2 small 20L Gro-Tank NFT systems side by side in the 1m² grow room.
They have been in the NFT system for about 2 weeks in a 1m² veg room crammed in with other plants. I moved them into the flower room a couple of days ago (light still on 18/6), and put the scrog net in yesterday. I usually give them about a week of veg in the flower room before flipping the light, but these seem to be growing pretty fast and may not need the full week.
They are getting 3ml/L PM Hydro Grow and 0.5ml/L Magne Cal at the moment. They also get frequent foliar sprays of 50ml/L Cold Pressed Liquid Seaweed, 10ml/L Fulvic, 2ml/L Liquid Silicon and 1ml/L Polysorbate (wetting agent)
Some pics from before and after fitting the scrog net - I let them get a bit too tall, so the scrog looks a bit brutal at first.

Looks good.
Plants yesterday looking looking like they've recovered pretty well from a severe scrogging. No doubt they'll need more before they are properly budding - I'm trying to get wall-to-wall coverage and plenty of budsites before I leave them alone.
Gave them another foliar spray as mentioned in the previous post. Hopefully it's a way of giving them some organic components without getting anything nasty growing in the reservoir.
There hasn't been time for much more training as they have grown too quick. There's good coverage wall-to-wall so I flipped the light to 12/12 four days ago.
I stripped the bottom of the branches as soon as the topgrowth had shaded it out. I've got an oscillating fan blowing from underneath which rustles the canopy nicely.
it's looking good at the moment, but the humidity is far too high - I'll need to do something about it within a few weeks.
Thanks for looking in @woodi2.
One thing I like to do early on is darken the floor, I think electricity is too expensive to waste lighting up the floor. Even after defoliating I like to leave a base layer of leaves to intercept any stray photons that get past the buds.
I've already been taking off some bigger leaves from the canopy but the plants have been growing so fast I'll have to clear out some of the growth from between the nets as well. I'll do that in the next day or two - which will be about 21 days. 👍
This is the first time I've run this plant in a scrog - I just did a trial grow from seed in compost in smallish pots. I knew it stretched a bit, but in NFT it's really gone for it. Much taller than I was expecting. 😲
They're just coming up to 3 weeks - the flowers are starting to get going. This is only the second grow I've done under LED, I used a 600W HPS before. I find the lack of heat is tricky in my environment. I think my only option is to get a dehumidifier, though I haven't worked out how I pay for one at the moment.
Anyway so far just minor problems and the plants are looking healthy so shouldn't complain.
Thanks @woodi2 hopefully the defoliation will help the humidity a bit, but when the ambient humidity outside is hovering around 90%, and I still haven't got a dehumidifier my options are limited. 😰
I've gone quite heavy with the defoliation this time, I cleaned out most of the leaves below the top net and got rid of a lot of spindly growth that's not going to do anything useful.
I'm hoping the stretch has just about finished now, particularly as the light is as high as it will go without me having to get the drill out and put a new fitting in the ceiling. 😉
Move the air, move the air, oh and don't forget to keep the air moving! lol You've got an Aray so you should be peachy, yeah you have to deal with what you've got and your doing great. Hold her steady and things will be find. 👍
Well, after surprisingly straightforward negotiations with Mrs Dragonfire I now have a dehumidifier - I went for a pay in 3 instalments option to lessen the blow. 😆
Humidity was up to 82% at times, which is just not workable, so I had to go for it. It's down to 58% at the moment which is much better.
It's looking pretty good, but there's some clawing of the newest leaves. It looks to me like the sort of thing you get with overwatering, so I thought it might be to do with the high humidity and lack of transpiration, but would be interested if anyone has other thoughts.
They're now at 4 weeks flowering, the buds are really getting going now and the resin is starting to accumulate.
I'm still just giving them 3ml/L of the Plant Magic Hydro Bloom plus Magne Cal supplement - I stopped the foliar feeds a week or two ago.
Overall - quite happy, but staying alert.
Another update, and things seem to be going well just now.
Further thoughts about the clawing - My EC/PPM meter is not working properly so I don't know the exact EC. The plants were getting 3ml/L of feed which would usually be about standard at this stage of growth, but I thought these were starting to look slightly overfed. The leaves were quite dark green and there was just the beginning of tip burn as in the pic.
All the science based information I've come across in the last couple of years suggests that flushing doesn't achieve very much, and the best way to avoid ending up with high levels of nutrient in your weed is not to put it in there in the first place. That is the approach I'm trying to take, so hopefully it won't have done much harm and I've dropped the feed to 2.5ml/L and dropped the CalMag.
The dehumidifier is still keeping the humidity at 58-60% which is workable. The ambient humidity is back up to 90%+ so I'd have no chance without it.
You can see in the pictures that there is already a good dusting even on some bigger leaves. It's starting to look nice now. 😋
It's now 6 weeks into flowering, theoretically another 4 weeks to go, though they may need a touch longer.
Generally going pretty well, though the last pic shows some paling between the veins on a couple of the top buds. I know I've read something about this lime green patterning being a particular deficiency - possibly zinc? Anyway, I think this sort of thing is often either PH or overfeeding causing lockout. The PH is fine, so it may be overfeeding. The roots don't look as perfect white as I'd like, but I don't think there's a problem at the moment, another thing to keep an eye on though. I had pythium recently which trashed 2 grows, since then I've been using Alien Root Rot X which seems to have sorted it out.
About a week from now, I need to decide whether it looks like they're going to finish in the 10 weeks or go on for maybe another week. Three weeks from the finish I want to switch to Vitalink Finale nutrient with no nitrogen and add some Botanicare organic Pure Blend Tea to help with flavour, until final flush in the last week. Hopefully, I can get away with adding some organics to the hydro tanks that late in the grow. I'll flush with the Root Rot X, in between tank changes.
Nice grow dude. You know what your doing. How you finding the aray 3? I was thinking of getting the two ( got a smaller tent). Will keep updated hope to see a good harvest. Cheers dude.
What a monster of a grow awsome work man looking wicked
Nice bush Buddy! lol Looks like you might want to flush the roots, the way the leaves are distorting shows it could have a root problem. Maybe. 👍
Update is a bit late, there's just under 2 weeks to go, so a week ago I switched to Vitalink Finale nutrient with no nitrogen plus Botanicare Pure Blend Tea organic supplement. I give them an overnight flush with the HOCl between tank refills, remembering to run some through the rockwool as well, but empty it all out again before refilling with nutrient as it doesn't get on with organics.
The paling among the top buds has continued, and they're starting to show little brown marks, looking more typically like calcium deficiency. I checked the PH with a liquid test kit, and it looks like I've been around 5 - 5.5, where I thought I was keeping it about 6.2 - 6.5. That would fit neatly with a calcium def. I should have been more thorough checking, it's probably cost some yield.
Overall they're looking pretty good, they're getting nice and frosty, and very sticky, so still hoping for a respectable crop. 😋
Just one week to go now if they're on schedule. I've switched them to Clearex flushing solution only for the final run in. I used to use plain water for the flush, but I think it reduced the quality, at least in taste and smell.
I'll turn the light down to 75% for the last few days, they don't need full strength as they coast over the line. With the HPS I always used to raise the light at the end which also reduced the canopy temperature as well. This new LED/dehumidifier combination will be a bit different I suppose, but shouldn't be a problem.
The resin is accumulating nicely, and I'm getting a hint of cherry menthol cough sweets in the smell. 😍 The buds are not huge but there's plenty of them and they look quite dense. I'm actually expecting something very nice from this.
