[Completed] Red Eye Jedi's LA Peyote Kush Grow

This morning I dropped 2 seeds into a glass of water and they are now in a dark cupboard where they will stay until the morning.

Seeds Transferred to Paper Towels

Yesterday I transferred both seeds from water into a damp paper towel and put them in a zip lock bag

Checked them this evening and nothing yet   Going to give them another 12 hours and then i'll pot them either way and we'll see what happens but might have to do another couple of beans if not but will keep you all updated  

We Have A Tap Root

So both beans have had 72 hours in there paper towels so opened it up this morning and happy to report one of them has sprouted a little tap root  

Im only running with 1 of these anyway so the other one is no more. The good one has now been planted in her starter pot and is now in the tent under a plastic cup to keep humidity up.

Hopefully we'll see something sprout in the next day or two

Evening all hope you've had a good week and looking forward to the weekend  

Good news from the tent, woke up this morning and checked on the Peyote and found this

So today will officially be day 1 for her. Just using a pipette at the moment to give her a small amount of tap water and still keeping her covered under a plastic cup to keep humidity up.

Temp is about 25C in there at the moment so she should be happy. Once she gets a little bigger, i'll remove the plastic cup and get a fan on her to strengthen her stem up. Ive also got a humidifier i'll add to keep RH up in the tent.

Day 5 Update 

Evening all, hope youre all having a good week so far  

So today is day 5 for the LA Peyote Kush. 

As you can see shes grown nicely over the last few days since I last updated. Shes taking on a little more water now as roots start to spread but still got her under a plastic cup to keep humidity up. In a few days time whens shes a little taller, i'll remove this and get her near a fan to start to strengthen her stem up. 

Temp is sitting around 24-26C

Humidity is 70% - Ive got a humidifier in there for my other plant but like I say this one is still under a cup for now.

Day 10 Update 

Evening all, hope you've all had a good weekend so far. We got an extra hour in bed here in the UK today so always a nice little bonus.

So its been 5 days since I last update and the LA Peyote has come on lovely since last time so thought id post a couple of pics. 

As you can see some nice growth over the last 5 days. Shes no longer under a plastic cup and I got a fan speed controller yesterday so ive been able to reduce the air pressure in the tent which has helped retain the humidity from the humidifier. Shes under a small 6" fan set on low so shes got a very gentle breeze on her.

Temp is sat around 25C

RH - 65 - 70%

Im giving her alot more water but then leaving the soil to really dry out before watering again so as to try and encourage the roots to spread and then maybe in a week i'll transplant to her final 20L finishing pot.

Day 15 Update - Pre Transplant Eve

Evening all and happy Friday. So its been 5 days since last updated and shes continued to come on well as you can see from the pictures below. 

You'll also notice shes looking a little bit sad. I was going to transplant her tonight but in usual unorganised fashion, ive ran out of soil so trip it is to the local hydroponic store to get some more tomorrow and as such she'll have to hold out until tomorrow now. 

Shes just been given a little bit of tap water as and when needed over the last few days but once transplanted i'll start to water in more of an organised fashion.

Temp is sat between 25-28.5C

Humidity 65%-70% (Ive got a humidifier in there connected to an Inkbird humidity controller so this just kicks on the humidifier as and when required)

Day 16 - Transplant Day

Evening All, so back into lockdown here in the UK for another month. The good news with this however is that it will mean i'll be working from home which also means more time to spend with my plants  

So this morning I went and picked up another bag of soil and got ready to transplant the LA Peyote Kush.

I 1st started by drilling some holes around the rim of my pot just to make life easier for me when it becomes time to start LST.

I then filled the pot halfway with soil before lightly watering and then placed another starter pot I had in the middle to use as a template. Id seen Macky or TG do this in one of their transplant tutorials so ive always done the same.

Once I had enough soil in the pot I remove the starter pot and just sprinkle some rooting powder into where shes going. This is only really cheap and basic rooting powder from a local garden stroerwe I had lying around but ive used it before and it seems to work well enough.

Then it was just a case of prizing out of her starter home and placing her in a new one. I grabbed a pic of her roots below aswell.

So now shes nice and snug in her forever home and back in the tent. 

I pH'd and measured ppm of the water I gave her today. My tap water where I used to live, had a base PPM of around 330. The tap water I have here has a base PPM of 45.

Its so much cleaner its unbelievable and im hoping that almost starting at 0PPM will really benefit me in terms of controlling what im feeding her. Will definitely have to give her more Cal-Mag then I did with my last grow. 

Overall she was given 1000ml of tap water today nothing added

pH - 6.38

PPM - 45

Temp in tent in 23-28C

RH - 65-70%

Will just keep an eye on her over the next day or 2. This is as much bigger pot then ive previously used so just need to get used to how much water to give and how frequently but will probably be a bit trial and error there.

Day 20 Update - Shes Been Topped

So in my head id decided Friday to top the LAPK. In complete stoner fashion, I went in to top my other plant today (as shes a cpl days in front) and not paying attention ended up topping this one  

So shes now been topped 

Soil had pretty much dried out this afternoon so she was given her 3rd watering since she was transplanted. 

My soil has got a PPM of about 600 so she'll only be getting clean fresh tap water for a the next week or so before I add any nutes although i'll keep a close eye on her as my water here is very soft compared to where I used to live so may need to add some Cal-Mag.

Getting a bit colder here so temp in the day has dropped slightly but still sitting at a nice 23 - 26C in the tent.

RH 65-69%

This plant looks like a heavy indica-dominant pheon with the very thick straight stem, uniform growth of shoots and massive fan leaves, I can't see this plant stretching more than 50% in flower so I would flower the plant off about 18" high 

yes I would remove the two fan leaves because the lack of light getting to the shoots will kind of stunt the growth and make it stretch.

removing the right fan leaves at the right time can make a massive difference in a week or two.

you have the perfect plant for a 4 way cross with 8 tops, would be so easy on this plant ( 8 long large thick  cola's)
