Grow Diaries [Completed] RedEyeJedi's Banana Blaze and Alaskan Purple Grow

Hi redeye good luck with the grow mate, heard a lot of people bitchin about the mimosa evo on insta saying they couldn’t pop em and when they did they weren’t good looking seedlings. Could be a dodgy batch ✌️

autos are awesome man you're going to love it. 

Definitely top them, mainlining can be done too, but has to be timed right. I have mainlined an auto before, it was nice, good yield too, so give it a shot if you want mate

I toped my first auto and out of my ,3 grows I feel I got better results with topping .

I did follow something I read which is topping before 21 days. 

next run I'm going to top before 21 days and add some lst.

I also  4 beans down at the moment with no luck.

btw interesting to hear the mimosa evo chat above... I grew one end of last year.. germinated ok but was a bit of a runt .. little branching and only yielded about 40g 

However, it was some of the best tasting smoke I’ve ever had though.. absolutely delicious sweet limey taste 

I will defo be growing again as it taste that good and I’m comparing that to a long time growing and even longer smoking weed.

Day 1 Update

Thanks for all the replies far everyone. Sounds like a few people have had some issues with the Mimosa's, shame man as it did look like a really great strain, same with the pink kush but nevermind, these 3 went 1st time so lets hope they're good. 

Yeah im definitely topping mine and will be on it with the training.

All 3 have now sprouted the other day so grabbed some day 1 photos of all 3.

At the moment just lightly watering them and keeping them under plastic cups to keep the humidity up. Will leave them like that for the next few days until theyre a bit bigger then will remove the cups and get them under a fan to start strengthening the stems up. 

Thats about it for todays update. The photos were taken the other day so today is actually day 4 so will post another update over the weekend at end of week 1.  

Day 7 Update

Evening everyone, hope everyone's good and had a good weekend. 

So 7 days since sprout today so thought id grab a few photos.

I took the cups off them this morning and got a fan over them to start strengthening the stems up. 

Ive upped the light ever so slightly to encourage a little stretch and put the humidifier in there and set it to 70% so they should be loving conditions in there now.

Ive started spreading the water over the soil more now to encourage the roots to start to grow out so hopefully we'll see some good growth this week.

Day 14 Update

Evening all, hope everyone's well and tents smelling great.

So today is end of week 2, had started adding more water and leaving to dry to encourage the roots to grow out and get some good overall growth this last week.

All's gone really well and had some healthy growth over the past week.

Alaskan Purple on the left and Banana Blaze's middle and right. 

Have had the humidifier in the background running and its all set to keep the RH in there at 70% so nice humid conditions for them. Am gonna give them a cpl more days and then will transplant them into their final pots some point this week, need to get up in the loft and get the 12l pots down. 

Not much else to report at this stage, will post some post transplant pics once their done.  

Looking good man, amazing the amount of growth so quick. Week makes some deference 

Day 16 Update - Transplant Day

Evening all, bit overdue on this update but just been manic with work so apologies for the retrospective update. 

So last Tuesday I transplanted all 3 of the plants, they were all looking pretty sad so it was about time they all got a new pair of shoes so grabbed a few photos of them whilst I did it.

Unfortunately I left one of the the 12L pots back at my brothers so 2 went in to 12L pots and 1 of the Banana Blaze's has gone in a 20L pot. Ive only filled it probably 3/4 so as to try and ensure it doesn't outgrow the 2 in smaller pots.

As you can see from the 2 photos of the roots, it was definitely the right time to transplant. I used the starter pot the plants were in as a template and just filled the new pots around to create the hole you see and sprinkled a bit of great white in there and gently placed them into the holes.

And here they all are in their final homes 

All 3 had 500ml of tap water after the transplant 6.04 pH and 53PPM

I'll put another update up when I can as theyve came along nicely since the transplant and ive already started training 2 of them and 2 of them have been topped. Will do the other tomorrow as it was a little behind the others but shes in the bigger pot. 

Day 31 Update 

So ive just gone to do this update and realised its been over 2 weeks since I last did, dont know where the time goes.

Well since the last post the plants were all topped and have just been getting plain pH'd tap water feed every other day. Below is pic of all 3

The Alaskan Purple on the left, I think may of started going into flower, below is a couple of pics of her. What do you reckon?

And heres the 2 Banana Blazes

Ive not been as on it with the training as id of ideally liked so the mainline never really happened. Will introduce some nutes this weekend as like I said shes only had tap water so far but has looked fine and as you can see is looking very healthy so ive really needed to add anything.

On the Alaskan you might notice some yellowing tips which I noticed a few days ago and looked like light burn so the light has been slightly raised since then.6.68

Feed today was 6.68 pH and 42PPM

Temp is the tent is about 28C lights on and around 20C lights out and RH ive got humidifier in there set to 65%

Thats about it for today, will try and get next update up a bit sooner.
