Once this guy is up and running i plan on checking him every few days, I can monitor temp and humidity from my phone .

Awesome mate, that living soil look epic. This will be a nice grow. The smell won't be too strong straight away, so we will see if the filter holds up as you go lol. You might get away with it with one plant.

Just had a gander at the user manual for the driver and I think I read that the dimmer goes down to 50% light so 60 watts  at lowest.

Give it 24 hours after planting then have the lights on 24 hours mate. She will be above ground within a couple of days.

Those 18 year old seeds, if they pop, it's going to be a good old school phenotype, fingers crossed man!

I very much like the look of that. the pics i put in my intro thread are of a lm301b 150w board without the far red additions. There is some getting used to this type of light if you have used traditional lights imo. you can either keep them on full power and keep a lot of height between the canopy and the light or you will be dimming and adjusting the lights weekly as the plants require more light

also, dimmed you may find that the lights run too cold for germ and seedling stage so an additional heat source might be needed. so you will need to weigh up the cost of addition heat per watt against the lights watts.... if that makes sense

That's great thanks, i bought it without getting advice. At low dim it still runs 23c so grow box is hot enough. I will adjust the height as I go.

Thanks again

There you go mate

Thats the exact style i use.

it wont tell you what the lights are drawing but it will tell you how much the driver is pulling from the wall
