These two plants are only 1-3 weeks from harvest and have been showing signs of either pest damage and/or nutrient deficiencies.
I previously had spider mites with this soil on a previous run.
I did a thorough folier spray with some black tea this morning to try and kill off any eggs underneath. That was how I got rid of the mites the previous time.
my biggest concern is can I still harvest this and use it or is it a loss?
many help is greatly appreciated!

@gworton Definitely saveable mate, you will get these to harvest. Do you know what the problem is? I don't see any mites and assume its something to due with nutrients or pH

@gworton Looks to me like either they got too dry, or too much nutrients, or both. A dry-back can cause a big increase in nutrients resulting in a double-whammy.  I've seen plants crash like this when there is a dramatic drop in RH, too. I think you can definitely get them across the finish line.

@donkeycongo I agree with Macky it looks like nute burn or PH imbalance  tips are crusty and yellow main parts of leaves and flowers look fine.... just run straight water for a bit and see if that helps but I've saved worse .... worse case keeps your harvest for sticky resin and hash making or edibles

Im going through a faze of thinking everything is - if coco then pot got dry.

Of course go with what Macky says, give him a better pic and he might be able to tell you when it happened.

That definitely looks like a severe case of nutrient burn. Because it looks exactly like something I did to one of my plants a couple years back!

Something hit me when I was reading back through this. It says “Heavier water every other day”. I’m wondering if this means you’re watering daily and extra every other day? What’s your watering frequency and practices? Improper watering can do lots of damage to cannabis

That's my thoughts- define "heavier watering every other day", please that sounds interesting. Have you feed them anything?

@woodi2 I should clarify that with the watering, I have been giving them a more thorough water every other day and on opposite days just moistening the surface.

From looking at some of my smaller pots of the micros I harvested already, I don't think I was giving them enough water earlier on and so I think the bottom of the larger pots got to dried out and the last 2-3 weeks I've been trying to water more to get better saturation towards the bottom and may have just unlocked a lot of the nutrients that may have been unavailable in the drier soil.

I was misting a small amount of PK-bloom booster in the first few weeks of flower and so I suspect that might be what has suddenly causing the burn.

Everything else in the soil should be pretty easy on the plants, all just compost, castings, peatmoss and potting soil.

@gworton, I hear ya, I've been in the same spot with pots that don't seem to get saturated all the way through. Here's my 2 cents,

First before watering when the soil is dry I ruff it up, then push the lose soil towards the outside of the pot and make my dish shape and seal the crack around the pot. Then I use a 1/2 cup measuring cup and slowly water it letting each one drain slowly and even walking away and letting it sit then continuing until it leaks. I keep a saucer under it and let the runoff wick back up after I take a sample and test the PH.

This is what I do, you probably know this already, sometimes you just need to soak them. Placing them inside of another container that will show the water level inside the pot. Good luck man.

@woodi2 Thanks for the tips.  Watering is definitely one of the areas I need to dial in a lot better.  Quite frankly, I'm a bit over using the super soil in my tent and am just eager to get the summer garden going outside.  I'm going to give my tent a nice break until I'm drying my harvest in the fall.

@gworton, I also use one of the cheap moisture meter things you stick in the soil, you can find at the garden shop, around here $15-$20 and that helped me figure things out a little better. I will let mine get to almost halfway dry with the meter and then water, I did find bone dry, sorry!! lol But I don't rely on it 100% it just another suggestion.

But the slow method till she pee's then make a note of how much that was, now give her that amount each time and as she gets bigger the amount to make her runoff will increase slightly but you'll have your base amount to get slight runoff, full.
