@philmebowls yeah i transplanted her on saturday, watered her in with around 700ml and parts of the soil still show as wet on my moisture meter so could very well be that aswell.

This is my 4th grow and 1st real issue ive had across all the grows. Thanks for the advice.

  Disclaimer- I'm not a successful soil grower but I do know a lot of "what not to do's", lol and one thing I noticed was the PH of 5.9. With soil are you adjusting the PH to 6.5-7.0 with the sweet spot around 6.8? That would be my suggestion first, here's a chart that might help you too. Good luck man.

@woodi2

I think my knowledge may be off in this case, i understood soils perfect range should be between 5.8 and 6.2. Maybe i need to adjust this.

My last two grows had no issues and i used the same water and never adjusted the PH.

This plant may be extra sensitive.

Thanks for the reply.

Hard to say without more information on how the problem has been developing through the grow, what sort of soil is it?

I say the same thing a lot cos honestly with soil grows it's mostly two things causing your problems, watering practices or environment.

How big is your pot? how often do you water? how much water do you add each watering? how close is your light? (hanging height recommendations are a load of shite in most cases with migro less so but they do say it can be anywhere from 6"-10" above the canopy) how intense is the light?

Without more information I'd say that plant looks a bit and I mean "a bit" stressed with its conditions, like is been under or overwatered and driven a touch to hard by lighting which would explain why it's all short and compact.

Your plant doesn't look deficient, it looks good mate! Give some more details and chances are you just need to back the lighting up a bit, dial the watering in and it'll explode with growth

@greentomato

Pot is 20ltr, i water when the moisture meter i use shows either low damp or high "dry" in numerous spots.

I watered a 100ml when they were in smaller pots, then 250ml in the medium pots which the plant outgrew last week, now they are in the biggest pots, the last watering was around 700ml, but its generally been 5-7 days between waterings as shes not been drinking much.

My light is at around 7inch away and currently on around 70%.

The soil itself is biobizz allmix, ive used this on everygrow so far.

Thanks for the advice, ill move the light away and work on my watering.

@brbrbn no worries man, I would say it’s probably time for you to properly saturate the growing media, in that size pot 1-2L would be a good amount, she’s big enough now to get a proper watering. I’ve had problems when I’ve tried to be conservative with the water of fear of overwatering and developed dry pockets in the soil which really hampered my grow.

I use the same light and that height is fine but I wouldn’t be running it at 70% at this stage in soil, I don’t usually go to 70% until I’m in week 2 or so of flower. I know the recommendations say otherwise and what I’m saying isn’t gospel, it’s just from the bit of experience I have growing in soil and using leds.

So yeah mate, probably dim down to 50% give it a bit of a proper water, when she’s up and running and starting to shoot out more you’ll be watering like 2-3 times per week about 1.5L a time if I had to guess.

Hope it goes well!

That is the ideal range for coco, not soil. Woodi had the numbers correct. Acceptable range for soil would be 6.5 - 7.5 with the sweet spot around 6.8. It doesn’t sound like a lot but that small change can make a world of difference in the long run.

I could be wrong but I would put that brown spots down to them lying on the soil and getting wet and that upper spot could just be from drops of water too. That happens to my plants a lot and they end up looking just like your one is there, it wont be spreading to other leaves is it?
