@echo Did you leave the light at the top of the tent throughout the grow ? massive stretch...

I'd be bending them over (very gently) and tying them down

Breeder is a guestimate 😉

@echo I would be bending from about halfway down, should be ok but take it easy as they start to harden up in flower and are easily broken (supercropped, lol) so be careful

Pictures of the setup might help us help you brother. It does sound far less than ideal tho.

WOW!! Crazy stretch but it’s not super dense so like zombie said, time to start pulling everything down a little at a time. Tie onto multiple points and pull down, increase a little each day but not too hard. Before you know it she will be ok. If the stems aren’t woody you can supercrop as well. Start pulling before those stems harden off for sure.

@monkeydo okay so just continue to pull down as much as possible each day. and i understand supercropping is snapping and hanging to the side ? would this still be okay during flower ?

I think your problem is down to the light and the height between the canopy ( top of the plants and the led)

Sorry for the late reply@echo

Nearly every light can be used for veg and flower but they all have a very limited range, area where the light is strong enough to give you healthy plant growth,

For example a 600w hps needs to be 16-20" above the canopy, any closer will cause damage to the canopy (top plant growth)

Any further will can the plants to stretch and the shoots will be too weak to support good bud growth

Also reflector can controls the reflective light to give me a set canopy size.

Hanging the light 16" above the canopy will give me a smaller crop but the buds will be more compacted and at 22" the light will cover a larger canopy but the buds are not as good quality (airy buds)

A t5 needs to be 1" above the canopy and more than 6 will make the canopy really stretch

Your lights may only give you good bud growth for the top 2ft of the canopy and the lights may have to be kept 12" above the canopy.

I’m having the same exact problem with my NL auto from Seedsman. I’ve had to do what monkey said and super crop it then every couple of days try and pull it down a lil more.

From what I’ve gathered some strains just want to go up if you don’t get them topped and trained early enough. I’ve ended up supercroping a couple of times. Here is 1 of my poor girls

There are many thing that cause stretch like this mate. A mix between light distance, lights off temps being much lower than lights on temps, and defoliating at the wrong time, its a bitch when it happens we have all be there.

All you can really do is try to tie the branches down so they are not as close to the light. Try and get the as level as possible. I would even consider super cropping them taller branches to bring them down to be level with the others, and lower the light.

@macky hey Macky I’ve had a the same problem with a NL auto the thing just keeps getting taller. I’m just wondering what the correct light distance should be, temp fluctuations between in and off and when we should be defoliate the lower stuff. Only asking so I can make sure I don’t make these mistakes again thanks

Update after finding out that my light wasn’t suitable for flowering I did some research on the migro diy light and it actually more powerful than the ts600 so I’ve made it I luckily had those exact bulbs lying around as we already use them in the kitchen.. I’ve pulled them all down an switched them light using the phone tester it’s 40-000 at much further distance the other light only got to around 20000 so hopefully it will improve things I’ve pulled branches down to an even level snapped one unfortunately but taped it up an it seems okay I hope

@jacks_farm okay so i was using the mars hydro ts600   ive switched to using phillips led 100w (13wx6) ive got 6 right now 18 on thursday to make it have full coverage  and flower room is 90x60x160  using the lumen meter on android the ts600 doesn't go above 24000 but the diy light reaches 47,000 so i figured im on the right track..

Hi @echo I have never used leds on my plants but seen a lot of growers use low powered lights with great results

I would think 3 lines of 6 could cover a 2ft x 1ft canopy( scrog, say 3"-4" above the canopy( keeping the canopy about 6" above the net) would give you some great results in flower.

Lux meter does not work very well for leds, works great if you want to see how much light you getting in different parts of the room as a very basic tool( like this corners getting less light etc)

I recon the hydro ts600 could give you a good crop if you keep the light 4-6" above a 40cm x 40cm canopy (scrog)

Used to be loads of growers getting amazing results with t5's and leds give out loads more light.

You get different light spectrum for veg and flower but if you turn a plant over to flower and train it right, it's going to still give you a crop with a veg or flower light.

Sometimes you need to use what's available at the time to get the best results you can

I would use all the lights and put a net in the room and fill the screen the best way you can but guessing all your lights will only fill half the tent (45cm x 60cm)
