Hey!

I have 2 plants of Pineapple kush (currently in reveg)

one small plant of big bud and OG kush, both are about 3 weeks old from germination.

I'm using veg-nutrition around once a week/or two, watering about every second/third day. There is about 40 cm between the lamps. I just transferred the smaller plants into bigger pots so that the roots have more space.

Unfortunatly, i have noticed weird spots on the leafs (yellow and brown) and the plants seem to be growing quite slow. Those leafs that looked dead were taken off, but strangely they felt hardent.

I cant put my mind on what is going wrong... please help?

PS. i just sprayed some water before the pictures.

@onemoretime

greetings buddy,

so did you flower the bigger two seedlings early to find out the sex then flip back to re-veg plant? Were the seeds regular or feminised?

if so this is very confusing for the plant, especially a young one, and will cause stress.

As for the leaves drying and shrivelling.. looks like they may have been inconsistently watered, as in at some some the plant suffered drought stress, as it’s the lower leaves that have been sacrificed....possibly then been overwatered afterwards...

what medium are you in and what nutrient are you feeding?

Is there some small spotting on the leaves? Can’t quite tell from the pictures but look some pest damage possibly (mites possibly or thrips maybe) they are Likely to attack a sick or stressed plant.

They also look like they’re not up taking nutrient as they’re pale and look like they’ve been growing slowly ...?

tbh if you have more seed I’d be very tempted to start over ... keep these going if you like and see if you can recover them, but I’d get plan B going in case they don’t get to how you want them

hope this helps

feel free to query the advice and questions

@chillbert Thank u for ur response!

I had 3 pineapple kush plants in a vegetative state growing in soil. At about 4 weeks, I realized to change the lights from 12/12 to 18/4. I made the switch after they already started to give those white hairs that they make for buds. I decided to cut the top of (with them hairs). And after sending a QandA here i decided to leave them and add new ones.

Im using a bio nutrition (bio vega, by biocanna).

All is grown in soil

Tbh i think i water them quite regularly max 3days without, usually every second. I water them once the medium is dry (feeling with a finger) and pour about 70-100ml (half a glass)

They are indeed growing slow, especially given that i have a newe light for them and nutrition....

Chilbert is right on it 👊

We really need more info but they can be saved. What media are you using and what brand is it. What nutrients and how much are you using. How are you determining when to water? What is the ph of the water you are using and the ph of the feed when you feed. We understand that getting asked so much can be overwhelming but better info to us gets you the best info back.
Im seeing root stress which ties to Chilbert’s Observation. They are starving but that can be from lockout, stress, or lack of nutrients but you can’t fix it without finding the cause first

Hi, are you revegin cuttings from your last harvest?

if so maybe strip bottom half or two thirds leaves off an plant them a couple inches further down.

My guess on seedlings would be soil too hot in nutes for them and overwatered initially, properly stunts growth. Also I think a bit to early to repot, need a bigger root structure first...

but as above, the more info the better, I am just having a bit of a guess...

@emo hey! the roots were actually already complete, in a sense that they were large enough to hold the whole soil of the first pot and when transported held the form of the previous pot.

Ok so 4 weeks from seed is a bit on the short side so your plants are still small.., veg is usually 1 week germination, 1-2 weeks seedling stage, then you want 3,4,5,6 weeks before flower depending on big you want your plants..

If the top was already showing flower it makes me think you had auto seeds!?? If so, and you cut the top off at that point, you’ve effectively doomed your auto as it doesn’t have enough time to grow more shoots/ flowers etc..

If it wasn’t an auto it wouldn’t have been showing flower, unless possibly severely stressed or mutant genetic trait .. ??

Good thing you’ve started the other seedlings.. tbh I think I’d not expect much from the first ones.. you can tidy them up (remove all that brown dead leaves).. give them a foliar feed (when light is off) and see if they green up a bit ..

🤞

@chillbert yes. the pineapple kush plants are just there with little hope, but maybe I confused you. So the revegging plants (Pineapple kush) are older, but the Big bud and of kush are relatively fresh. read of my first text with my response to yours Smile --> the problem is with the new plants.

hi... ur reply to monkey is out of sync so to speak, it confused me as I missed it...

So you were in 12/12 from the get go?. if so, strip the crap leaves of the kush and carry on in 18/6 and they should grow out ok... as for the smaller ones, I am gonna stick to overwater, especially after reading ur reply, water once a week?? depends on temps and humidity mind... the soil was held together by the wetness not the root, the are far to small to have had much more than a tap root and a couple fine lateral roots. what size was the initial pot? I like the root it cubes, I pop seed in and wait till tap root and half dozen lateral roots show well before potting into a 3 inch or so pot and then wait till maybe 4 or 6 nodes before going into final pot. topping along the way... it is sooooo easy to overwater. small plants cant transpire enough to drink a lot and then low oxygen at roots cause a slowdown making things worse... we have all done it...

Check out my runty plant of the month pics... both overwatered...

No worries mate, we all have to learn. I’m sure he feeling bad enough with sick plants. Just FYI, at this phase I never strip anything off a plant that can still give something back so if it ain’t falling, leave it. She’s already stressed, no use going further. Been trying to spread the word, plants need leaves, even partially damaged ones. Don’t fight nature, she will drop them when she’s done with them.
