Hi Guys, First time grower here. Trying to learn as much as possible through podcasts & now discovered this forum 😁.
Question with my first grow, this is week 3 of flower & i noticed today under the buds ehat I’m afraid might be pollen sacks. Can anyone confirm if I have an issue here?

Welcome to Percys mate, yea im afraid It looks very much like it. Are there many to be seen or just a few, You could pick them off and keep going though if you want. It can be annoying having to pick seeds out of weed but I think it's still better than having no weed 🙂

I didn't notice this one until today so I'll get my glasses on tomorrow & give them a thorough check over, its lights out now...
Is it a sure thing that every plant in the tent will grow seed now? Or can I remove this one (if its the only hermie)?
I guess at this point I'll continue to grow them to harvest. I should pick the sacks off as I see them? will that reduce the amount of seed produced?
So I probably fucked a whole lot of my shit up with this grow so working out what caused it is going to be difficult to pinpoint. I'm sure enough that I didn't have any light leaks, but I do have a trail cam in there taking a pic every hour for a timelapse. I wonder if the IR leds at night would disrupt the light cycle.
@brewer76 There's likely no guarantee every plant will have seeds now but if you have a spare tent or somewhere you could move the hermied one then it would reduice the chance of more seeds. But if you dont have anywhere you can move her then I would just nip the balls off her soon as you see them, I usually wet the points of my fingers first to make sure any pollen sticks to my fingers instead of blowing about.
If theres a small light on your camera then that could be causing the problems, iv had the same thing happen with a fan with a digital readout screen. im not sure about Ir tho and how it will effect it, some of the other lads will probably know 🙂
@brewer76 I run Ip cameras in my tents i take a piece of tape and cover over the lights. Im not sure if it causes herms or not but be safe and cover them. When lights are off i can still see my plants on the camera but i dont see that bright spot.

Looks like I'll be picking out loads of seeds, there's only a few that haven't formed sacks or seeds at this stage so I presume there's no point trying to separate them. Still super excited to grow these out, but also looking forward to a better result next grow.
Will the seeds be worthwhile growing next with any decent chance of producing females? Or should I look for better stock?
And will the tent need to be treated to remove any residual pollen or would it be degraded by then to pose no threat?
@brewer76 Iv crossed a few strains and one plant I used was from bag seed, so she would have been from a hermie originally, and there was nothing wrong with it. I have heard that seeds from a hermied plant can be more prone to passing on the hermie trait and could hermie easier if the growing conditions arent perfect.
It takes about 5-6 weeks for a seed to reach maturity, Iv popped a seed from a bud exactly 5 weeks after I pollenating her and the seed grew perfect.
So by the looks of things you'll be getting some free seeds too 😀 lol
and yea it's best to give the tent a wash or a wipe down after the grow, but saying that iv never cleaned my tents one since I started growing 😆 but It's not a good idea.haha
A moment of silence for our fallen.... sadly as the others have pointed out they are definitely male flowers. I would say you will find some seeds through that lot but depending how far along they are they may not have time to fully form. Really depends on how long they have been open for and how much pollen they released. It's not the end of the world though, just pick the seeds out and smoke the rest. I would definitely be searching for why they hermed, check your lights, temps, any potential light leaks etc so you don't have it happen again on the next run.
I heard from my mate that provided me with these as seedlings that hes just had 3 of 4 same plants grow balls & removed from his garden.
So can I take that as to say the genetics are most likely for the hermie trait? That makes me excited to get going again with some better genetics.
@brewer76 I wouldn't try to carry on with this line unless it turns out turns the best week you've ever smoked. If its full of seeds to the point its a pain in the arse to smoke, you would have a lot of high quality starting material to make hash/shatter/rosin. There are already a few guides on here, I had a dud plant on the last run that grew huge but was all popcorn bud that didn't mature properly, so had a load of crap weed, made 18g of really nice shatter that I was really happy with.
