Hi everyone, newbie here. I have a RDWC 4- 5 gallon bucket system. Commercial air pump, 2 stones per bucket, 2 stones in the 12 gallon res that is chilled to 67 degrees. Two es 300 Electric Sky- 600 Watts LED actual. Room Temp 80-81 day-19 hours, and 72-74 night, that's about 5 hours. Room 4x8x8 drywall white walls sealed AC and heat. 2 dehumidifiers!!! just to get it to 51%RH, both have their exhaust vented. All venting is completely to the outside of the building. Exhaust fan is 8" w/ carbon filter 750 cfm same as fan. Strain is GSC Auto's from FB's, day 54. EC is at 1.57 - PPM 780 - PH 5.8, General Hydroponics nuts. Expert feed chart. Used everything except Diamond Nectar that stuff doesn't seem right for my application, or it was me.... Can't get them higher on the EC with the nuts, Ec starts climbing, PH starts dropping, dogs and cats living together! Anyway they don't seem to mind seeing as how they have been averaging almost 2" of height a day for 3 weeks. Last month on 8-15-20 they were 23.5" tall - today they are 53" tall. I thought 40" was going to be tops, oops. Now my lights are at their max with the supplied rigging so I'll have to get creative and squeeze out a couple more inches. Light are maxed for height - Lights are at or slightly above 80%(recommended by manufacturer for newbie like me). Placing my hand between light and plant isn't bad, I've grown under HID before, I know what heat is, but I don't know LED intensity. One of my problems is for some reason my four plants don't all look the same. Weird. Second, only one plant is having toxicity or light burn issues, and yes it's the one that doesn't look like the others. Third Problem is, this big ass plant is a lot slower to bud and is now behind the others in flowering but it does excel in height! I don't think this is a GSC. And what do I do when the others are ready to flush and harvest and this one ain't!!!! I'm wondering if it could be sensitive to the P-K, and it got stunted and now is coming out of it?
All damage is on top fan leaves only, very TOP. No damage to buds. 15 inches away from light now, yesterday it was 13. It's sister is at 13" away and no damage. This is the difference between the plants. I believe the dark one is the GSC and the lighter one is ?????? But their in RDWC and the dark one looks like it will be ready before the light one. These Gals are big Full Figured girls, this will not be easy, but NOTHING about my first grow has been easy, but it is working. No funny stuff on this grow, just trying to drive this thing down the road and see what it can do. So what does anyone think??? I know I have a couple of subjects, any help sure would help. oops sorry about the double pic up there.
Hey thank for getting back to me. I'm at 3 ml cal-mag. I think I have it figured out...... I planted one Strain- GSC and I have possible 3 different plants. Big difference is, over all color, one is light green and the rest are dark green, Buds are completely different, three different buds. Just discovered that tonight..wow. Two of the three appear to be on the same time line as far as harvest, but the one big odd ball looks to be 2-3 weeks late. Is this possible or does this happen a lot with seeds? I'm in my first grow and first seed purchase, and I purchased other seeds when I ordered these.... Is it POT LUCK from here on out? I'll put some bud pics up in a moment.
So now we have #Bud2. This is what I was believing to be GSC. Dark, huge wide leaves, just like the same plant as above, but bud structure is just slightly different from the above plant.
And lastly, #Bud3. This girl is tall and big, but not as mature as the others. I'm really thinking about pull her out, I could really use the room and light for the remaining ones. I would love to see her go full circle but her timing is messing things up. All these are in RDWC under current type system, and I don't know how to flush and dark time them when their not together time wise. I'm all ears.
Here’s my two gsc, the one on the left has always been a heavier feeder, always looked lighter in colour, but at the end of week four the buds and frost are stacking nicely
I can't see a real difference between the two plants (lighter color fan leaves on left plant) they both look very bushy and heathy, always look for purple/red stems on new growth as it could be a sign of stress, when did the stems turn red ?
your plants are looking great and you may not get any problems with the plants but Epsom salts is very hot, do you reduce the other nutes when adding Epsom salts as it could cause nute burn?
The red stems could also be cause by high humidity at night.
what's the temps the flower room at night as low temps can cause red stems ?
Just added a screenshot of a website on the last post
your right a lot of growers will hit 16c -20
I just like to save money and keep everything to a minmal, most outdoor grows will hit less than 10c towards the end ( in colder countries like the uk)
rooting clones become easy and you can root a minimal of 80% of them every time.
Often takes 14-20 days before you see roots.
Will add it to my grow diary, next time I take clones.
my current grow is a little messed up as I was building a new grow area and need to keep the plants small for 8 weeks,
So I rooted mostcrop clones (take cuttings off plants with small buds on), got lucky as they all rooted but forgot to water them a few days ago, starting to pull around and once they bonce back there going to grow like crazy with many many tops on every plant
