So this is a cool blueberry fast. Both plant are in the same space with same inputs. I haven't flipped the lights to 12/12 yet. But in the past week these two have started to flower. Can anything other than light cycle cause these to flower? Is this particular to this cultivar? Any insight would be appreciated thanks in advance.

@bustedbeer82 They must be autos mate.... Maybe your timer is off, and the plants are getting more dark than you think. If that isnt the case they must be autos, are you sure they are photos?

@macky pretty sure unless they mixed up the seeds. I read on multiple sites they are photo. Honestly this batch of seed I got like 2 of 5 I plant started wonky. One topped itself. The other took 2 weeks to germinate and he's now the beast of the bunch. I got them from 207 genetics

@macky also they are 6 weeks. Which does make sense  if they mixed up seeds. I'm stumped.

Pots being too small or roots being bound can cause photoperiod plants to start flowering out of pure survival instinct I believe. Other than that, it may have some auto genes in there somewhere.

I have a clone mom that got way too huge for the 3 gal pot she was in and started flowering under 24 hours after being in the room for almost 3 months under same light cycle.  They didnt go far, they just got to about the point yours were at then stopped....  lol. Ended up planting her outside.

I had an idea earlier but haven't researched it yet. I did get a new light and introduced far red into the mix. If I remember reading right it help during flower because It occurs most at end season. I might mistaking on that. I sounded familiar and gave me ilthe idea

Sometimes the "fast" variety of strains include a dose of ruderalis in the genetics not for the autoflower gene but for the fast finishing trait. Perhaps those also got the auto gene from the ruderalis as well.

@monkeydo a little known fact there that one, something that's not talked about as much as I think it should be is the addition of the ruderalis for the fast finish, has caught me off guard once or twice and stumped me for ages, then after running back through the breeders tree (looking for something else entirely mind you) nestled away on a corner of the tree was ruderalis. Most people think auto with ruderalis but their ability to withstand harsh climates and finish in a matter of weeks is a huge draw card for breeders and a massive incentive to drop a little of those genetics into the mix.

@bubblehok @monkeydo

Thank for info guys. Didn't know they used ruderalis to make fast version. I just thought the used a cultivar that just grew fast than most. Would explain a good bit.

All of the above comments have hit the nail on the head. Plus yeah changing lights to far red could cause that problem to. Genetics Plus make sure your light cycle is correct.
