Hi folks.

Total noob here chancing his arm at growing.

I have only one growing plant (out of 3)

It's a few weeks old. I planted it in some compost & earth mixed.

I'm actually surprised it grew but now I think it's being eaten by bugs or something. I know nothing about gardening in general so any help would be greatly appreciated.

yer she is being eaten mate looks like something big too, you should start by putting some slug pellet around it, that stop them. Plant some other plants around it too, like onions and garlic, the bugs will either go to it because they like the smell, or stay away because they hate it.

Using some neem pesticides might help too. But the first step would definelty be slug pellets Smile

I would fold all that grass back so its not touching the rim of the pot, bugs will climbing in like pirates boarding a ship.lol

If theres any bugs around they will likely still climb up the outside of the pot but removing the grass gangplanks should make access more difficult for them too Smile

I had small caterpillars on an outside orphan last year that did damage similar to that. Check the plant carefully, all sides of all leaves for eggs or very small caterpillars. The ones I had were from a small moth and the caterpillars never got more than 1 or 2 mm long and easy to miss. Might be a long shot but worth the look.

little caterpillar bastards! I would be checking the leaves for them as macky suggested but moving the plant out from in that grass or at least trimming the grass away from the pot a bit and try keep them away from garden weeds if you can, the bugs love the weeds and it looks like just a quick hop skip and munch to get to your plants from the weeds.
