Ok, so this plant is in my autofill octopup system and is the only plant showing this.

I'm thinking it is a potassium deficiency, and I'm wondering if I should bump up the PK for just this pot.

I can shut off this pot and water on it's own giving it more PK nutrients.

If this were mine the first order of business would be a complete flush and reset/refeed. The wording “all to schedule” caught my eye. Is this the manufacturers recommended schedule or something else I’m not aware of? The only times I’ve seen this kind of damage in my runs was a while back when I was feeding too much and buildup caused a lockout.

@monkeydo here is the schedule, only thing I don't use is the floralicious addative.

I've reset them a couple times before. and again, they are all on the same nutes in line. Like I said, I think I may have to shut it off and run it's own nutrients for a bit to see if it changes anything, however I think I may have to up the PK so that if it is the Potassium def, it should clear this up.

I've had the same issues on another plant before and same thing, flushing, resetting didn't seem to change anything.. 😐

I’m not familiar with the “autofill octopup system” and I don’t run GH nutes but if that is the manufacturers chart, I’d bet that it’s a bit on the strong side. When mixed, what kind of EC are you looking at? Is you auto pot system allowing for runoff to flush unwanted salts or is this a closed system?

As far as only that one plant being affected, that’s probably a variation in phenotype. I’ve seen it many times and it usually possible to find a feed that all phenos appreciate with a little experimentation. Took me years to find my ratios for my situation it but it does exist.

@monkeydo Thanks for your replies man 😊

Yeah the octopup system is closed, there is no runoff. I don't measure EC, just PPM. As for the chart, I am at the bottom side of the ppm range of the chart, so on the lighter side, and again the other plants are completely fine.

I have 2 WBB and 1 Jack Herer on this system, and only 1 WBB is having the issue.

At this time, the system starts with 4 gallons in the main rez and the pots hold about 1/3 gal, and they just constantly drink.

I was thinking this also about the pheno, but weird that 2 different strains have done this.

I might pull it from the system and then flush and give it's own, separate from the system, nutrients with a bumped PK. Maybe drop the nutrients from the chart back a week, then just bump the PK a bit.

With a closed look system you are definitely going to get excessive salt buildup as well as root exudates building up over time and with coco having minimal microbes to handle this problem, I can see how this is bound to show up eventually. Your system sounds easy when it works correctly but my brain just keeps going back to coco basics, 10-20% runoff daily 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yeah it is totally new to me also, however it is like DWC basically, however it does have a 2 gal pot of pro-mix on top.

I've been a coco/perlite grower for basically 4 years and I do have pots that are just promix and not on the system so my brain says the same when you say the runoff, however this is different because it isn't really holding nutes in the soil, very little is stored in the medium.

Haha the love of figuring out what the heck is wrong 😀
