My Northern lights auto is currently at 5 1/2 weeks and has shown this weird leaf mutation since about week 2 of veg. Seed stockers genetics.
The grow medium is a Coco/garden soilish mix.
My lights are set up at 45° pphd overlap configuration in veg and are currently at 25° in the first week of flower.
If I haven't covered anything just let me know and I'll provide the info if I can
Currently Hy-gen part B plus worm castings and mollasis
Hi Macky and thanks.
Sorry I've gotten my terminology mixed up there, I meant to say I'm using single part bloom Hy-gen (I was referring to 2 part as in using nitrosol for veg and Hy-gen for bloom).
The bloom nuits consist of.
N 1.9, P 0.94, K 3.62, Ca 1.36, Mg 0.55, S 0.82 %w.w.
NPK ratio 7:8:16
Sorry I don't do soil or coco but twisted leaves could be a Boron deficiency. The Part A should have the Micro nutrients (boron) and the nitrogen, then part B should be PK based. So if your not using Part A, that could be the problem. Then like @Macky said, we'd need to know what in Part B. But the lighter green color and the twisted growth looks like an unbalanced diet. Why are you leaving the Part A out? Doesn't look too bad, yet, should be an easy fix for ya.
Many thanks I will definitely be flushing and going light on the nuits from here. I'll let you know how it's all going in a couple of days.
Hey mate, 9/10 times that twisting is going to be ph related, out of curiosity are you running air pots or fabric pots? Sounds like your running a super coco kind of mix, I'm assuming you got the soil from a garden centre or bunnings?, most of the garden soil available in aus that is general "garden soil" is notorious for containing high amounts of pine in their makeup, pine in turn has a tendency to wreak havoc on the ph levels. Being hot af in Aus this time of year i have been struggling to keep the tents down under 30c myself, the high heat causes the plants to naturally drink more in turn drying the pots a lot quicker than normal, in my case i run coco and perlite so a pot dry out is bad news, in your case its not so bad as soil responds best to wet and dry out periods, but being a coco mix could be drying those pots out quicker. As Woodi mentioned a good flush and test your soil ph, then a light feed should bring her back in line. Being your using hy-gen which is fairly strong stuff i would be looking at around the 1/4 - 1/2 dose max with an auto. Most autos i run will tap out around the 1.8ec mark, some go further but usually 1.8ec is about as far as they go before nute burn occurs. Good luck
Ok so I got called out last night with work and had to spend the night away unexpectedly so these 2 pics are roughly 36hrs apart. It drank up its bloom nuits and the reservoir dried up for a good day. It's starting to un-twist itself so I'm just going to drop my pH a fraction and see what happens from there.
The colour difference is due to my phone camera... Even if I take a pic twice but move a fraction it'll look totally different
