I started both of these clone back in October and they took some time to recover after a case of both PM and spider mites and are now both doing fairly well in their new, clean, tent.  However, the lady on the right in the picture seems to have been growing fan leaves with only 1 section instead of 5, 7, or 9 etc.

My question is, should I be concerned about this or just let it veg some more and it'll start producing bigger leaves.  It was transplanted from a smaller pot a couple weeks ago and looks much happier now than it was, but why the lack of leaf sections? Any thoughts on this are appreciated.

@gworton all guesses really...but could be from the stress. Or just be a weird phenotype, or a combination of the two making it mutate (I like this idea, sounds Kool, get some mutated bud lol) but yeah sorry dude these are only guesses, someone will have a better idea on ere!! Good luck

What strain are you running and are these auto's. I zoomed the shit in because I wanted to see if you had any purple'ing of the leaf stalks or branches and yep she does

Don't panic I've had this problem commonly with a certain strain of auto that's incredibly temperamental being my BCN critical XXL.

My thread "Not your average auto" is an example of a similar case but now that thing is full flower and looking awesome and stinks like a skunk pee'd on it.

Being soil all changes are going to take some time to effect and it's crap if you get it wrong (as I have many times) then spend the rest of the grow chasing deficiencies or toxicities from the soil..... Yeeeesh.

Maintain what you are currently doing because the plants do look healthy but look into tickling out that purple if possible in the stems. Good luck with the grow

It sounds like you have successfully shepherded them through some big challenges, and they look good now. No doubt about it, they have been through some stressful times, and seeing reduced leaflets on a plant can very often be signs of stress. I am betting that this is just due to stress. I’m curious, what strain is/are these?

@im_sparky I’m not terribly concerned, more curious than anything as these two are both clones pulled off my bro-in-law who is merely a custodian for his friends plants on his property. His buddy is paralyzed so he can’t really do the grow himself and my brother doesn’t really know much about them other than to prep the plot with a lot of good compost and then water them all summer. A different buddy comes in the fall to chip them and do all the post harvest for their friend. Long way of saying all I know of the strain is that it was huge and the solo cup they started it in said BC on it. Perhaps BC Big Bud? I couldn’t tell you for sure.
The one on the left I know is a Truffle Monkey and it was actually cut post harvest and I re vegged it. It was far more sad looking than the BC. It took forever to first start growing anything green, then the pest issues, and now it’s finally looking awesome.
Both are photoperiod.
