I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with flower formation like this? This is my GG4 at day 59 of flower. Long story short - I had two girls that turned to hermies and I've pulled the first. She was older and smaller, but more developed, with better looking flowers. The remaining Gorilla is much bigger but the buds are worrying me. They are wispy and remind me of miniature pine trees. I'll be over the moon if they fatten up and fill out but I'm not sure. Has anyone come across this before?

Day 56 is around week 8. So you’re about there. I too would like them a bit more formed at this stage, but they do ripen and fatten up in the last 2 weeks of the life cycle. how long you recon you have left? Have you scoped them? Hang in there every days a school day.
@goldseal94 I'm starting to think I've been exaggerating this one's age a bit. The girl I just pulled was probably 2 weeks older. Give or take. I let my seedlings dry out too much and one died so I germinated this newbie. So I reckon 2 weeks 🤔
There's mostly cloudy trichomes atm but I can see a few hints of gold coming through. I am noticing slightly more mass daily too. So maybe I'm just out of whack with her schedule. I think new genetics and having the girls hermie on me has thrown me too.

truth is some strains are this way and even from seed to seed in a pack.
my GG I grew, 2 seeds, one was more cone shaped flowers and the other was smaller rounded shaped flowers. Same pack same breeder.
I ended up keeping the one that had the cone shape and she filled out nicely and still have clones of her to keep going. The aroma and taste was even different between the 2. Both grown at the same time, same nutes and everything.
also in my experience, if they “Herm” or get seeded they don’t bulk like they should so could be because of that also 🤔
@johncarlson21 I agree 100% I’ve had accidental seeded runs and truly believe the plant changed direction on the type of growth they do. Growing buds and growing seeds are very different.
Airy buds still get you medicated and are great for making hash, the tricones just slip right off. Keep checking the tricones and pull her when she’s ready.
My strawberry cough was branchy and super airy. It’s just how it is some times. Very few plants Ive grown are the same, there’s a vast amount of difference in pheno type expression.

if in doubt squish it out and dab that sucker.
@goldseal94 thanks for the advice mate! I'm definitely going to grow her out a bit more and will pull when she's amber. I got the seeds from Sacred Seeds. While I'm not really happy with the genetics, their service has been great. I had a chat to them and they sent me a couple of replacements. I just recieved them yesterday.
@johncarlson21 thanks mate that puts my mind at ease. I've definitely got the cone shaped flowers on this one. She is slowly bulking up so we will see what we end up with.
You should also check for light leaks in your tent, this kind of bud structure can be caused by light pollution and you already had 2 plants turn hermie on you.
@josh82 don’t just limit your attention to light leaks from outside the tent leaking in. Make sure you don’t have any kit in your tent emitting light, even a small power indicator light found in on/off buttons, camera with IR emitter, etc.
@josh82 and don’t forget to check your timer too. The worst case of reveg I’ve ever had was due to me bumping my timer settings by accident.

Thanks @Sevans and @Monkeydo! I have done a full check a reckon I've screwed the pooch on this one! I had a vent open which was most definitely leaking light. Another rookie error to learn from.
On a more positive note, we sampled the girl I pulled, and she tastes pretty good with some nice medicinal effects. Very fruity and uplifting. Had us chatting much more than usual. It needs much more curing but I'm not dissapointed. I think we've been lucky too as the seeding is very minimal.
