Switched to flower and added my stronger light, over night the new growth turned yellow from the center out

Hey @jimmiejames, welcome to Percy's glad your here. I'm guessing that you switched to flower nutrients with the flip? I'm not familiar with your nutrients but from the looks of things your too heavy on the PK too soon, but I could be wrong. So your at 550 PPM and is that a 500 scale?

Yea I did switch to the flower feed I’m running 1/4 strength of the recommended feed chart and the ppm meter I have is the garbage yellow(ph)/blue(ppm/EC)Amazon tester
@jimmiejames, yeah double check your meters and probably reset the system by draining and refilling at a slightly lower EC then the current one. Are you adding any Cal/Mag supplement? They look pretty dark but it's hard to tell with the light.

Welcome to Percys. Woodi is a wealth of knowledge so you are in good hands, but I have to wonder about the timing of the light change and you seeing yellowing, especially if you doubled your light and skipped feeding as they were going into flower. Any idea what your PAR is at the distance you have set? If you don’t have a meter, you can get an estimate from your manufacturer’s charts based on distance to highest canopy. Cannabis can take a lot of light, but consequently they need much more nutrients and water, and air. Also, some strains don’t like sudden increases in lighting.

@im_sparky, 🧐 the way I looked at it is the plant is very dark so there is more than enough of something, what? With bleaching from a strong light it will stress the plant and the leaves will wilt more and if the light continues then the leaves will lighten/bleach in the hot spots and stay dark on the outsides. So looking at this one I see dark leaves that appear to be rigid, somewhat. 👍
But with to growth tips being lime green like that it looks to be immobile and P or K in excess will do this (lockout) in the blink of an eye, then calcium will follow along with boron. Hydro it happens quickly because of the constant contact of roots and solution. When the hydro nutrients are chelated it's like they wrap the food in candy and the plant can't resist, not like it does in soil, it forced feeding as you know. It is cool when one excess the leaf will be effected from the tip to the stem and another it will be reversed, can't remember which one atm. lol
This is all my own opinion and you are much more informed than I am, I've just seen this a few times. I could be wrong, but it looks like a duck. lol Your on top of your game and have a wealth of information too. This is how Monkeydo taught me and I'm almost untaugthable!!

Nailed it, she is a bit dark I reckon but heavy on the nitrogen, still working out the kinks, definitely bounced back after the flush and adjusted nutes,
