Hey all what are your thoughts and experiences with Boveda packs? Am I crazy or do they make my weed smell like paper?
No, you're not crazy. I've read lots of complaints about this and loss of terpenes but some people don't notice any difference. I guess it's up to the person, some say the Integra Boost is better, check em out.
We just smiled n waved sittn there on that sack o seeds
They are a novelty really IMO mate, never used them.
As a grower, if your weed gets too dry, and you need to add moisture, take a small leaf off your plant and add it to the jar for a bit. Add moisture, that taste like weed, rather than paper

Well they certainly do as advertised and keep humidity at 62%. But I find the smell and flavor are tainted.
I would think so mate, at the end of the day, what ever it is they use, will have some kind of smell, and itll leach into the buds. Only buds should be in your buds jar 😉

I've never grown a Boveda strain...heard they smell & taste like plastic so have avoided them completely 😉
Seal them up in a glass jar, you'd be surprised how much moisture 'dry' buds hold...
I literally came into this thread to recommend the Integra Boost, I used a large-sized one for my homegrown and it cured it so nicely
Yea, I agree with all the Boveda stuff - I stay away from them for those exact reasons as well. If I do have to use a humidity pack, I go with Integra Boost, but IMO, properly dried, cured, and stored cannabis shouldn't need a humidity pack at all... if your bud does get super dried out, like if you forget to put the lid on your jar for a day or something, I use 'hydrostones' (RAW makes a fancy one too). Basically, it's just fired clay that you soak in water, it absorbs the water, and you put it in your jar of dried bud (usually only takes a few hours), and voila, rehydrated cheeba. They work WAY better than any humidity pack for re-hydration (too well if you leave it in for too long), and they're cheap AF. Just buy a small clay saucer and smash it up to your desired size. I use plastic wrap just for a barrier between the hydrostone and the bud - you don't want direct contact, just osmosis. The bear there is actually sold for brown sugar - same principle tho, soak the bear in water and put it in you sugar container to prevent it from drying out and becoming a rock. DIY FTW!
thanks for the tip
