hey guys im using my extraction for 15 mins on each hour and 2 fans on very low not in direct path of the bud... its got a extremely strong hay smell in there am i doing something wrong ?

@echo perhaps 15mins per hour is no longer enough. What stage of the grow are you at ?

If holding in heat is the issue you might try to change the interval to 5 minutes every 20 minutes if your timer can do this. It might allow a more consistent environment. If you aren’t fighting cold temps just increase the run times.

What are the temps and RH in the tent man?
When drying, bud may smell hayish .. keep temps 20c or lower and RH 50 ish
the weed smell will come back so long as not drying too fast (or slow)

@toploader im in drying stage plant is cut down as a whole not sectioned off. my temps are 18-20 and my humidity is 50-55. should i run the extractor all the time now ?

Think I would run the extraction full time on a setting that drops RH to between 45-50% 👨🎓

@toploader thanks dude i wasnt sure about it i read it takes some smell of the bud after so i halted. lol hopefully the smell comes back to that lovely cheese smell

I dry my buds in a 900x900x600 tent...is linked up to flower tent via Y adapter and constantly extracted...passive air in through front bottom of tent, 6" RVK pulling from the back top...occasionally get a hay smell but usually when plants are very green to start with...I would keep it on low mate
